In theory it works great, but, it is very small. Great for a kitten as it does not hold a lot of food. Wish it came in larger size for adult cat.
I bought 2 of these. At first the 2 cats I needed them for didn’t like them. Once they realized that this was the only way they were getting fed they’re doing great. There’s no more scarfing down food and vomiting!
Good in theory but not for my cat.
Since this is kind of rounded, it doesn't sit flat and moves when the cat tries to eat. He didn't like that. When I held it for him he ate fine from it the spacing between the nobby things is good, he can get the food out and even cleaned his teeth on it. But me holding it for him is not an option.
Poor design and execution
Great idea, that’s where it ends. The bowl isn’t flat on the bottom, thus it wobbles. Terribly difficult to clean. We tried using all methods and manner to clean this dish- but none succeeded. Save your money.
It's a decent little slow feeder for wet food. It does better with a pate than with shreds. The shreds are too big to actually get into the nubs, I usually end up mashing them into a pate consistency just to get it in there. It wobbles a LOT as my little girl is eating and I usually have to hold it while she eats. Because she will start attacking it to try to keep it from moving. I would recommend something that is maybe flatter or has a better base. The inside of the bowl is also set in kind of deep and gives her whisker fatigue, so some days she won't finish her food or stick her head into it. It is good and cheap, but I am definitely in the market for something better.
The mouse bowl does just what it’s supposed to do- slows down the eating. Cleans up well too. I’d give it 5 stars if it weren’t so tippy
Slow Feeder is limited
My 1 year old kitty eats way faster than his sister, so he can get her food too. I think this could work for small cats or kittens, but it rolls around when my kitty is eating, so he picks it up and carries it to a corner somewhere, or under some furniture. When he gets the food out of it, he proceeds to chew on it. He is, after all still a kitten. Also, it doesn’t hold a full serving, so I end up having to retrieve it from wherever he’s left it, and fill it again.
Fine Dish, Not Slow
This feeder does absolutely nothing to slow my cat down. I 'squished down the treat with love' as the directions said. But she is still just as quick. Also, when we first took the dish out of the package my husband and I couldn't agree on whether the head looked like an elephant or a pig. We did agree it doesn't really look much like a mouse. It's cute, very sturdy, easy enough to clean and my cat doesn't push it all over the kitchen floor. It also holds a perfect amount to stop her human from giving her too much treat for her little belly! It's a fine dish. Just not a slow feeder.
Is it supposed to wobble?
Cat hates it and won't even eat out of it because it rocks when he licks and falls over. It's super wobbly and LOUD.
Does the job
Good product. Would like to see it come in a larger size but, overall I’m pleased with its performance.
