The most commonly reported symptoms have included nausea and diarrhea, which are minor. Some pets may also suffer from loss of appetite, hair loss, lesions, mental confusion, and jaundice. If you observe more severe reactions like facial hives, swelling of the lips or tongue and difficulty breathing, immediately discontinue use and contact your veterinarian, as these may be signs of an allergic reaction.
Talk to your veterinarian about any other drugs the pet is taking before starting this medication.
Do not give Doxycycline to pregnant or nursing pets. Do not give multivitamins, calcium supplements, antacids, or laxatives within 2 hours before or after giving this medication, as these products can reduce the effectiveness of Doxycycline. Doxycycline may make a pet's skin more sensitive to sunlight and sunburn may occur. Throw away any unused medication when it expires or when it is no longer needed. Expired Doxycycline can cause a dangerous syndrome that can result in damage to the kidneys.

I think the product went bad only after 10 days I opened the package. Because my cat vomited and had soft stool after she took it. At first, I thought maybe it was because this is new food to my cat so she couldn’t digest well. Then I feed this to my dog, she had soft stool as well… so I don’t recommend this freeze dried unless your pets can finish it within one week after open the package.
My cat likes it, and till this morning, I really think it is a good product. When I scrunched the food, I was hurt by the sharp bone in the pic, I am just glad I tried to scrunched it before giving to my cat, or I cannot imagine how this bone could hurt her. I really hope the firm can check their product before selling it!!
This medication stopped Chester from having asthma attacks. This worked much better for him than the prednisone without all of the side effects.
If they were pills rather than capsules they would be better for small dogs
My dog has SLO(systemic lupiod onchodystrophy). This medication is keeping her in remission. I was getting it at a local pharmacy for $36 a month until Goodrx stopped covering pet meds. Without the prescription plan it was over $200! I am glad someone mentioned to try Chewy. I can continue her medications and not worry about how I will pay for them. The capsuls are easy to pop open and mix into her food. No hassle of trying to get her to take them!
This was a necessary purchase in order to treat lyme disease in my fur buddy. The purchase was easy, and the price was exceptional. The drug seems to be killing the bacteria associated with Lyme Disease. Thank you Chewy!
I'm a pro at administering pills to dogs and these tabs are difficult to administer. They are small and stick to my hands, especially if they get wet. I'm considering switching to the capsules.
Our dog was accustomed to the tablets and these capsules are a little tricky to administer as I had been hiding it in peanut butter
