-When training your puppy to use the Pet Turf, always use to positive reinforcement: food treats, praise, petting, or a favorite toy. The reward must occur immediately or your pet may not associate it with the proper action. Each time you reward your pet, include a praise as well. You can say something like "Good dog" in a positive, happy tone of voice. Your praise or reward makes your pet more likely to repeat that behavior in the future. Be consistent and always reward desired behavior and never reward undesired behavior.

-By urinating, your dog will mark its territory and after a few uses should know to go to the bathroom in that area.

-Check contents of Base Tray regularly. Keep it clean.

-After a couple of washes/uses, you may notice that the Grass Mat might fray at the edges. It is normal and will not damage the product.

-Pet Turf is not a substitute for regular walks to the bathroom and should be done for training purposes only, unless your dog is not well and unable to go outside on it's own.

Remove the plastic base at least once a day and dispose of solid waste in trash. Pour the urine into the toilet, then flush. Once it's empty, clean the plastic base and the faux grass with mild dish soap and warm water, then allow to dry overnight. Please wash hands thoroughly after handling.
