Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

I have had Dr. Elseys cat litter on autoship for almost two years. When I first started using it I couldn't be happier. It was the only thing that worked for my cat who had kidney failure. It clumped well and absorbed the urine smell completely and had virtually no dust. But now the dust is incredible. This is for sure no longer 99.9 percent dust free. Now I have to begin looking for a new litter.
I’ve tried SO many different litters over the last two years. Arm & Hammer; Multi-Cat and Clump and Seal were equally horrible. Tracking and dust on both made my asthma act up worse than it has since my childhood. Arm & Hammer stuck to the sides of the litter robots and created this… paste. When my robot would cycle, the used litter wouldn’t fall like it was supposed it. In turn, it actually caused litter to cake to the bottom until it was so heavy my robot would get off balance that it would error when cycling. This could happen overnight or during the day while I was running around. Tidy Cats; Multi-Cat, Lightweight, scented, unscented, and free and clean. In summary, none of them helped with smell. In fact Tidy Cats probably had the worst smell out of them all. Tracking was neither reduced or improved. World’s Best was probably the best out of the ones I tried up until Dr. Elsey’s. I loved that it was corn litter, the smell was GREATLY reduced, and it lasted a long time. However! It attracted bugs, and retained moisture. And for a litter robot that’s AWFUL. I ended up having to get both my litter robots replaced because the moisture from the drawer caused condensation and in short rusted the parts at the bottom. Now! Dr. Elsey’s, so far, has been PHENOMENAL. My robots aren’t struggling, the litter isn’t getting caked to the sides, and the moisture isn’t out of control. I haven’t noticed an unnecessary amount of dust coming from the litter, but that could easily be because I don’t pour my litter. I scoop it into my litter boxes using a small cup. The last litter I used was Arm & Hammer, and the tracking on that litter was horrendous. I would find litter in my bed and still caked between my cats toes at times. Dr. Elsey’s litter remains right outside the litter boxes, or within a few feet. I don’t find it in other rooms, or caked in my cats toes anymore! The smell is so much better than even World’s Best, and to me I didn’t think there was any way someone could top it. All in all, I’m impressed. The only thing I would like to be improved is packaging! If it could be resealable that would make this a 5/5!
Was recommended this litter and we’ve been looking for something new. At first everything was great as far as odor control but the clumping is outrageous. Be prepared to feel like you’re trying to scrape 50+ lbs from the litter box and that’s if it’ll even START to come up. It kind of like…attaches and sticks itself to the litter box itself and my husband hated this stuff and refused to mess with it strictly because of that.
I guess I don't know the meaning of 99.9% dust free, but to me it should mean virtually no dust. When I pour this into the litter box, the cloud of dust is gagging. Everything gets coated. It clumps well, and the odor control is pretty good, but I am looking for an alternative that truly is 99.9% dust free. Does it even exist????
Clumping works great and makes scooping easy. However my kitties track this litter all over the house! I need to vacuum at least every other day if not every day. Does not seem as dusty as other cat litter but it’s definitely not dust free. Will use this until I find another brand I’d like to try.
I just began using this, as a new kitty-mom, & am very pleased that it works just like its product description says! It clumps well, contains odors, & has only a little dust. Since I purchased 40 lbs, I am both pleased and relieved!! And a special thanks to the gentleman who made the delivery - he knocked upon arrival, a rare thing of late. Thank you!
This is my first time using this little and I am not impressed especially given the price I paid. While this litter does clump well it is not dust free nor is it track free. As soon as I poured it into the cat box the dust began and now every time I clean the pan it creates more dust. Awful, will not purchase again.
I’ve been a fan of this specific litter for quite some time. I live in a small dorm-like apartment, and it controls the odor well and leaves minimal tracks with little to no dust. However, in this most recent delivery of litter I was INCREDIBLY surprised and disappointed. Not only is it significantly dustier (when I poured it into the pan a nice-sized dust cloud hit me in the face— also moving the litter around sends up puffs of dust), but imagine my shock when I found pieces of a plaster-like material in the litter! I thought it was one large piece, but as I kept digging I found many more, leaving me with a whole handful of the stuff. The pieces can be super-big to super-small. It’s got sharp edges and breaks pretty easy, so thank god I noticed before subjecting my kitty to potentially hurting herself while trying to use the bathroom. Chewy was more than accommodating and sent me a new bag, which I am so thankful for. Their customer service is quick, helpful and supportive… honestly the best! But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check your bags and litter if you’ve bought this litter recently. Not sure what’s going on with the quality lately but I hope this review helps someone out!!!!
I am finding it is more dusty than other litters I have used. It does control odors and is not tracked as much which I really do like. Th texture of it seems to be getting more flaky after 2 weeks of use. I have 5 cats and only have room for 2 litter boxes so all in all the litter is working.
I’ve tried a lot of different litters, and this one is my favorite. Rock hard clumps that don’t stick to the box, no smell (meaning no bad smells or masking litter box smells), and low tracking. One of my cats was pooping outside of the litter box when I was using another brand, but when I switched back to this brand, the inappropriate accidents stopped. Thank goodness!
