Can I give this food to an adult female rabbit who is fixed? I see it has alfalfa in it, would that be okay for an adult rabbit to have?

Every Discerning Bunny Loves Dr Pols

No matter how fussy every bunny of any breed will love this food. I give it to them with Mazuri from Chewy bc that has a Timothy base while Pol is more alfalfa

No matter how fussy every bunny of any breed will love this food. I give it to them with Mazuri from Chewy bc that has a Timothy base while Pol is more alfalfa. Bunnies inc Netherland dwarf, Holland lop and Lionheads are very happy and healthy. They also absolutely LOVE Kaytee Timothy Biscuits Baked with Apples as Treats also from Chewy. I use these too several times a day as a safety measure to make sure no bun has bloat. If they don't go after that treat like furry pitbulls then I know there is a problem. Then immediately give them baby gas relief drops every half hour, wrap them in a baby blanket on top of a vibrating foot massager ($10 CVS at Christmas). Then offer fresh cilantro, parsley or dandelion and clover in spring/summer. Once they start eating these I know they are ok. Then give them a little Probac from its syringe, probiotics for buns also from Chewy.

Food is great, rabbits do well & love it

Chewy can’t keep the 30 lb bags in stock. I’ve had to scramble more times than not to find a substitute feed. I raise show rabbits & every time I had to substitute,

Chewy can’t keep the 30 lb bags in stock. I’ve had to scramble more times than not to find a substitute feed. I raise show rabbits & every time I had to substitute, my rabbits lose conditioning or die from GI stasis. I would definitely give 5 stars if I could CONSISTENTLY get this feed.

Bun buns love it!!

My buns totally love this new food. And its lightweight so not as heavy. We will see how my baby bunnies like it when they get old enough.

this is the only food my rabbit will eat!

If I get any other kind of food for him, the rabbit just digs it out of the dish and makes a mess!

Terrible. Simply terrible. Do not feed to your adult rabbits!

This food is alfalfa based which is not good for long term feeding to adult rabbits. Alfalfa is a legume which is high in calcium and fat. Adult rabbits should not

This food is alfalfa based which is not good for long term feeding to adult rabbits. Alfalfa is a legume which is high in calcium and fat. Adult rabbits should not have an excess in calcium as it can cause serious medical issues. They also should not have excess fat because they will become obese and not be able to groom themselves or eat their cecotropes. Also, there is a CLEAR typo on the bag as rabbits do not come in bread form. If you want a QUALITY adult rabbit food try Oxbow as the ingredients are VERY similar, except, Oxbow is TIMOTHY based which is a grass hay meant for adult rabbits.

Somethings changed and not for better
