Premium All-Natural Pet Foods and Treats
Dr. Tim's offers honest, nutritionally sound kibble, wet foods, dietary supplements and freeze-dried treats designed for every life stage. The high-quality ingredients include low-ash protein along with the right blend of carbohydrates, fats and fibers to allow your pet to lead a healthy life.

Foods Made to Match Your Pet
When shopping for Dr. Tim's pet foods, you'll notice the labeling indicates an activity level. That's because they're made to complement your pet's lifestyle, with ideal ratios of protein, fat, carbohydrates and fibers to help her thrive. You'll find recipes that are specially formulated for active pets, low-key pets, extreme athletes and those in need of weight management.

ACTIVE: This food is designed for the sporting dog that's active more days than not—dogs who hunt or jog every day, herding dogs, police dogs and the like. It's made for maximum digestion, an important consideration for these dogs that's often overlooked. Protein types and levels, fat types and levels, and fiber sources are formulated to maximize performance and recovery.

CASUAL LIFESTYLE: This is a diet intended for the dog who lives a normal lifestyle—sleeping on the couch, running around the backyard or going on car rides, walks or hikes and basically just living the good life. The only regular exercise she might get is tail wagging when she sees you at the end of the day, or some loving nose nudges.

EXTREME ATHLETES: This food is for dogs who are serious about working nearly every day for long periods of time, such as sled dogs and dogs who hunt most days of the season. It's extremely high in fat, high in protein and low in carbs, with the highest levels of essential omega-3 fatty acids and loads of antioxidants. Performance, endurance and recovery are all enhanced.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: This diet is intended for the dog who has put on some extra weight. High protein allows your overweight dog to be more active, and moderate fat allows her to feel satiated so she doesn't beg—an essential part of the equation. The omega-3 and antioxidant profiles help reduce the inflammatory stress that's prevalent in an overweight dog, too.

Treats That Deliver
Dr. Tim's freeze-dried treats are formulated for both cats and dogs—perfect for multipet households. They're made from 100% real, USDA-inspected meats from Wisconsin. And since they're freeze-dried, you can give your pet all the nutrition and flavor of raw meat without any of the mess or inconvenience.
Top It Off With Nutrition
Dr. Tim's Flavor Booster is made of 100% real, USDA-inspected beef liver powder from Wisconsin that is freeze-dried to maintain more nutrients. It's perfect for use as a food topper to encourage pets to eat and enjoy their meals, which makes it a great choice for finicky dogs or those who are ill or tired of the same formula.

About Dr. Tim's
As a veterinarian and accomplished musher, Dr. Tim Hunt understood his dogs' need for a food that promotes stamina, endurance and performance through proper digestion. Armed with a cement mixer, a cache of ideas, and an aversion for other diets on the market, Dr. Tim took to his Michigan garage on a mission to formulate a food that replicated a natural, wild diet for his Alaskan Huskies. Today, Dr. Tim's focus has since expanded to bring an honest, nutritionally sound food—sourced only from North America's highest quality ingredients—to every dog.

Helped with constipation
By paopao on Mar 19, 2021
My 6-year old german shepherd had constipation problems for a while, and to top it off she's a picky eater. This dry kibble, combined with a few spoons of Weruva wet food for her pickiness and a few spoons of pumpkin made for the magical formula that finally cured her after months of pooping problems. She loves eating so much now and will even eat the dry kibble by itself sometimes which is pretty darn impressive, something she hasn't done before with other fancy dry kibble. I went through blue buffalo, Wellness, american journey plateau, and Diamond naturals before and she wasn't a fan, but this one is just right.

My dog would not eat it.
By Stella on Apr 13, 2021
Unfortunately, my dog would not eat it, and unfortunately, I purchased a large bag. I'm not sure why she didn't like it, but she doesn't. Another dog food bites the dust.

Dr. Tims dog food
By Jeff on Jan 15, 2021
We have been looking for a better dog food, the dog food we have been feeding our dogs was purchased from a local pet store. They told us that there dog food was the best for our dogs . My daughter looked up the dog food on the internet found out that was not that great. So she found out about Dr Tim’s saying its the best.We decided to try it we’ve purchased 2 40# bags so far , our dogs love it. It’s a little pricey but if they like it and it’s good for them the price is well worth it. Thank You Chewy and Dr Tim’s pet food.

I am very happy with this dog food. I had researched new foods to try that were good for my dog and this is the one she has liked the most. We are both happy.

Dog loves it
By LeeAnn on Dec 30, 2020
I have a 3-4 year old lab mix, about 50lbs. I was feeding her Zignature Zessentials but wanted to get her on a grain-inclusive food, and wanted something more affordable than Zignature. I did a TON of (too much) research prior to choosing this. I can't buy it in any stores locally, which is a little inconvenient but that just means I'll have to be diligent about keeping it well stocked. I've very slowly transitioned her (2 months) onto Dr. Tim's All Life Stages Kinesis, simply because I had a lot of Zignature left that I wanted to use up. But my dog loves Dr. Tim's, although to be fair, she loves all food. She tends to have a sensitive stomach when transitioning to new foods, but this week she I have a 3-4 year old lab mix, about 50lbs. I have noticed that her poops have been smaller, which I take to mean she might be digesting more of Dr. Tim's than she was of Zignature? … more

Made by someone in it for the right reasons
By Megan on Jan 4, 2021
Our dogs love this food. When our golden was about 2 (6 years ago), we switched him to this food and noticed an immediate change in his coat and bowel movements. My mom switched her two goldens to this as well shortly after and she was amazed. When I lived in Marquette, Dr. Tim was our vet and trust me when I say he knows animals and is in this business for the right reasons. I was so sad when we moved to not have him as our veterinarian anymore and have been searching for a vet who is as passionate as he is ever since. This food rocks and I recommend it to everyone!

My Coton de Tulear loves Dr. Tim's Kinesis Formula
By Jerry on Mar 8, 2021
I gradually introduced this dog food. When she was ready to eat it without any other food, she gobbled it up as if it was steak. Her stools are excellent.

Great product. Layla seems to enjoy it, and she is staying health.. Love the chewy automatic reorder in every 10 weeks. Might have to change the duration. Not sure yet.
