Excellent quality, worth the price
Many similar looking cages on the market for this style cage, but after decades of having birds, I can attest to the quality of A&E cages for their price point. Definitely worth spending a little extra on them for the higher paint quality, better materials, better design/features, and longevity of the cage. What you may not notice up front, will stand out over time as these cages don't deteriorate like their cheaper copies (via bent or broken bars, rust, chipping paint). This cage has comical directions, but it's still pretty straightforward if you take a minute and lay everything out. (I also have the double wide version of this cage, that was an um... experience putting together with the goofy directions). Anyway, got this flight cage for my parrotlet (I use the double wide for a pair of Java finches), and he loves it. The bar spacing is great, I love the big front door, two side access doors, and extra security features. Overall, a great buy. Definitely recommend. Ideal for finches, canary, parrotlet, lovebird, budgie, parakeet, cockatiel, and similar sized small birds.
Amazing Cage
I do not always write reviews but felt compelled to write a review for the A&E Company Flight Bird Cage and Stand. The delivery was prompt and arrived in pristine condition. The packaging was such to avoid any shipment damage. I found the assembly very easy although as others said the directions were not helpful. Having experience assembling birds cages in the past made this one a breeze. I assembled everything myself but did need help putting it on the stand. I did read one review that said to make sure the stand tab were on the inside and that was helpful. The cage is extremely sturdy and well made. I bought this cage for my Kakariki who is a very active bird. I do let her out of the cage to fly but she has a lot of room in this cage and is very happy. If you are on the fence about buying the cage I would not hesitate to buy another if the need arises.
Excellent cage
I can say iam very very satisfied with my feathered baby’s new cage, I think he likes it too within 10 minutes in it he was already claiming his domain being territorial . Only thing threw me off was when I opened the sealed box the bag of screws and tools were slit open and spilled out . Luckily all was there . But easy to put together
Beautiful Cage
I have 3 A&E dome top cages but wanted a flight cage and so glad I found this one. Love that it can be used with or without the stand. Its very sturdy and has a lot of space for perches and toys. The only thing I would change is the doors. The main door would be great if it was longer. And the side small doors need a locking system. Using this for budgies do now worries with side doors but I clean my cages twice a day and getting in and out the main door is a bit of a challenge. Would definitely recommend it. Chewy was fast with delivery and everything was packaged very well.

This A&E Cage is the best value on the market. Any problem with these cages are handled by Chewy and A&E Cage Co. in a timely manner. I have now ordered four and will be ordering more for my Cockatiel breeding program.

This cage works great for my two Gouldian finches. I had to put a sheer curtain on the door enclosure to ensure the birds didn't escape and also to give them a bit of privacy. I truly love this cage!!! The assembly directions weren't any good. I managed to assemble it with intuition.
Good sized cage
Bought this cage to replace a cage my ringneck parakeet came with when I adopted her. It's the perfect size for her and plenty of toys. The bars are safe for much smaller birds, and they're sturdy enough for my ringneck.i had zero issues with bent bars or welding on this. It went together easy and I would recommend it, and buy again myself.
Finally, A Cage I Can Live With!
My 2 parakeets have their own room and are only caged at night, but during the of confusion of selling my home they'll need to stay in a secure but roomy portable cage. They (and I) are so pleased with this cage they may not want to come out when we are settled! Very sturdy, simple and sensible construction, opening large enough to get an arm in to clean, plenty of room for perches and toys to keep free-flyers occupied... and the rolling cart it securely sits on can be easily removed. Seems the only thing not quite right is that "platinum" isn't the light gray pictured, but definitely beige. For a cage this well made and reasonably priced the color difference hardly matters!
Great Sturdy Cage
My two parakeets love this cage! It was a little difficult to follow the directions so be patient! It also helps to have two people to put it together. It is very sturdy, spacious and we are very happy with it for the price. Love the shelf on the bottom for bird supplies too!
