Can this carrier be taken on a plane, and fit under the seat?

This soft sided carrier doesn't offer top entry access.
Can you please clarify the dimensions? 17” is obviously the length. For the 9x12... is the 9” height or width?

The 17-inch carrier measures 17 x 9 x 12 inches and the 19-inch carrier measures 19 x 10 x 13 inches. The dimensions are listed as L x W x H.
What is the zipper on the front for if the loading and unloading your pet is on the sides?

The small zipper opening can be used if you need to open the carrier to maybe give your pet some water/food/treat or you can even just give them a quick pet.

Do Not Buy this carrier for your cat

I just bought this carrier and the second time I used it my very small cat was able to shred the side with one swipe and she was out. There is no way you can take your animal on a plane with this carrier for fear of them escaping. My cat is not a ferocious animal and her nails are clipped regularly, but she is quite smart and crafty. If your pet is a very docile traveler, maybe this one will work for you, otherwise, save your money.

disappointed… not sturdy

My cat Annie does not like to travel in this carrier bag at all. I just got back from the vet and she yowled so much the whole way there and back. She kept scratching at the carrier trying to get out and when I opened a little tiny whole for her to get some air, she easily managed to unzip the pocket enough to break out. It is not sturdy at all and as other reviewers mentioned, totally collapsed in on Annie. I was so worried she couldn’t breathe in there. Looking at her inside this carrier makes ME feel claustrophobic. I give it 2 stars because it had the potential to be a good carrier, but unfortunately it’s just not. The blue is a pretty color. I like all the pockets. The bottom inside also looks softer in the pictures than it actually is. It is attached to the bottom with only a tiny piece of Velcro, so it doesn’t stay on well. Hopefully I will be able to return it or exchange it for a better one.

to small for small cat

I am disappointed, it is to small for my cat that’s less than 10 lbs ( full grown) . She likes to lay on side and not wide enough at base to fit . I bought the bigger one. The product is well made, seams are great . Nice lightweight.

Circus Ringleader

I'm glad I bought the larger size as it was a snug fit. Perhaps the cats prefer that though when they feel scared. It has a handy optional tether inside the carrier. It was comfortable to carry, folds up nicely for storage and has a fuzzy, removable liner.

Keeping but adding to

Very nice carrier very well-made. However, like so many others have reported, this collapses on my cat. Whether I put the bottom part in or not. Especially when unzipped on one side. I bought a cheap one years ago that had a bar covered with the same material as on the bottom that fit into fabric openings on the top. Why this could not have been added to prevent it from collapsing is beyond meat. Getting my sewing needle out because otherwise it is very nice. A bit smaller than I like. But it helps him feel safe so since we only travel back-and-forth to the vet it will do.

Great bag!

It's the right size for my dog. I love the color and it has pockets for the dogs things. The shoulder strap is comfortable and so is the carry handle.

Disappointed in Connecticut

This carrier runs a lot smaller than described. I have all larger size cats and unless they are sick when I’m bringing them to the vet and willing to lay down and sleep this carrier won’t work. I’m disappointed because I am disabled and it seemed like the ideal item to solve my problem, but my poor kitties last moments before having to cross the rainbow bridge were not comfortable ones as I had wanted for both of us. He just laid on his back and starred up at the sky because there wasn’t much room. Also, you need more than one insertable bottom. If they have an accident in the carrier and you need to remove it to clean & wash it, you have no sturdy bottom which presents another problem. Chewy you need to stop selling this carrier and get one that will fit you customers needs and complaints. We depend on you and the chewy name to carry only the best of the best. Thamk you.

Check zippers

Make sure you check the zippers before putting your pet in. Once zippers are re-zippered so the close probably these are wonderful
