This supplement can be given during or after meal time. Use on a daily basis. For best results, divide recommended daily amount between AM and PM. Use product in accordance with the table below based on the weight of the horse.

Poor Packing

I purchase this $170 supplement regularly via autoship. Approximately half of the time it arrives broken open because Chewy uses little or no packing material. I

I purchase this $170 supplement regularly via autoship. Approximately half of the time it arrives broken open because Chewy uses little or no packing material. I have contacted Chewy in the past with photos but this continues to be a regular issue. I like the product but just wish that Chewy would pack it with a little more care.

Life Saver

This product is expensive, but it works. My 8-year-old gelding was having trouble losing weight, and one morning he came in lame with pasture-induced laminitis

This product is expensive, but it works. My 8-year-old gelding was having trouble losing weight, and one morning he came in lame with pasture-induced laminitis. My vet tested my horse's insulin level, and we found that it was twice the normal range. As part of my horse's treatment, our vet recommended this product to supplement his feed. The Metabarol brought my horse's insulin reading from 80 down to 37 (10 to 40 is the normal range), which will help to protect him in the future.
