This food is not certified as organic so the manufacturer cannot state that their ingredients are GMO free. However, their meats are free from antibiotics and hormones.
Does this product contain any traces of raw food in it? I have a cat with an immune disorder.

This recipe or any of the Essence recipes do not contain any traces of raw food. The mixture is cooked at such a high temperature, that it would be impossible for anything raw to be remaining. They also have a 3-step cleaning process to avoid any bit of cross-contamination and their Quality Control teams check/test each batch before it leaves manufacturing.

Kitties say No!

This is a soft, wet pate, quite dark in color. My cats used to like it, but I think something changed. They refuse to touch it now. Even my cat that I call my garbage can because he will eat anything will not touch this. I'm bummed because it was a good CKD option. I see some other reviews that mention a formula change, so maybe that's it. Back to the drawing board.

No chicken option

I was feeding my cats evanger's. But the two options available were sold out. My one cat has colitis, and chicken makes it flare up. Desperate, I found this item. It's a few dollars more expensive, but when they got the bowls, all six ate it so fast, including the one who isn't too keen on wet food. Great option!!! I might do a follow up after a few cans.

My cats love this

Great product! My cats really like this can. It is a soft pate with lots of broth, exactly the way my cats like it! I also appreciate that the phosphorus content is low enough for senior and kidney disease kitties. I will definitely keep this in rotation. I just wish it was a little bit more affordable.

Cats approved.

Tried while on sale for some new variety. People pretty happy with the ingredients and nutrient profile. Cats pretty happy with the taste. Nice texture.

My cat refuses to eat this

We rely on this food for my CKD. However, the company has changed the formula or ingredients.the good looks a lot darker, and my kitty refuses to even take a lick..Very disappointed 😞

Changed recipe - went from best to worst

After being out of stock for an extended time, I was excited to order this again when it came back. Sadly the recipe must have changed because my garbage disposal cats wont finish it anymore. Used to love this food because of the unique protein sources and my cats would go crazy for it. Sad to see it change and I will no longer have it on my auto ship.

Changed Recipe or Bad Quality Control

This food has been awesome and my cat has loved it for a few years, but the most recent case we received she will not touch. It's very dark looking compared to how it was. Either they changed their recipe or it's bad quality control. I wish we could receive an update on when it's "fixed" because it's one of the few foods she will eat.

new formula is awful

Used to be a great brand, noticed the quality went down hill the last few months. Weird smell, chunks in the pate that should be there, and dented leaking cans. Cats won’t touch it anymore, also there was a complete formula change so what’s listed on chewy isn’t what is in it now. This is harmful to cats digestion to not inform customers of new changes to food. Will be returning.

Not palatable

My cat has fish allergies and I thought I’d be safe with this, but she is starting to itch again. Obviously that doesn’t reflect on the product, just a warning to anyone with similar allergies. The reason for my 3 star review is that despite being a food hog, she barely touches this.
