Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
To ensure safety of your pet, supervise your pet at all times during play.
I’m not sure exactly what the bone is composed off but it acts and looks just like a normal bentonite bone/plastic bone. My dog loves to chew it but she’s still chewing plastic, there’s nothing natural or ‘ethical’ about it.
Well I did order large toys for large dogs and none of them look like they were big enough for a large dog. My boys devoured the bones in less than a day as far as the Red Ring Thing they don't even care to play with it really
Cider had this chewed up in a matter of minutes, it fell apart into chunks, had to dispose of it because I was afraid she would swallow them.
I think the reviews vary so heavily because this is a very “in between” chew toy. We got it for our 8.5 month old large breed puppy (Great Pyrenees, Lab, Golden retriever). She LOVES it and prefers it to the nylabone we bought her when we got her. She doesn’t care much for the nylabone because it’s almost “too” durable. This she can chew down. Will likely take her a week or two, but it’s definitely better than some softer ones that she will eat in an hour. My suggestion would be to just try it for your pup! After all its only $6 for the large. 1-2 a month compared to her eating my favorite boots is a steal!
Jake loved this bone. He especially likes the hard texture. He is a super chewer!
As a fur mom who has a picky dog when it comes to bones, this bone by far exceeded my expectations! She has been going to town on it since she saw me open the Chewy box!
This chew bone is not tough as stated, is way too thin- I would highly discourage for large heavy chewers. My dogs chewed through and had dangerous smsll hard peices broken off within minutes. Other dura chew toys and bones will last them months until they get worn down- these bones are a waste of money and a serious hazard- dogs could easily choke on small broken off peices- I took the 3 bones away from my dogs and threw them out in minutes.
This bone made with bamboo fibers lasted 2 days Dog is a Boston Terrier that weighs 24 pounds. I bought 3 of these in case she lost one. She received for Christmas present similar product that lasted 2 years. So I was trying to replace that one. I am so disappointed in this product.
So much better than Nylabones which caused some cracking in our dog's teeth. There are "hard" bits left behind after chewing, but seems much safer for dogs who are aggressive chewers and may hurt themselves. Note that, because these are "softer," they won't last for bigger dogs with stronger jaws. These last months for our 16# terrier (a regular chewer who doesn't spend that much time chewing each time).
My dogs love this toy, but it is not a tough toy. It is easily chewed. It turns very sharp. It is also not meant to be ingested, so I don’t trust it.
