The 2.75 inch dish weighs 1 ounce, the 3.75 inch bowl weighs 2 ounces, the 4.75 inche bowl weighs 6 ounces, the 7.5 inch bowl weighs 1 pound 2 ounces, the 9.5 inch bowl weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces.

Are these dishwasher safe?

Since we do not know the temperature and speed of all dishwashers, we always recommend hand washing to be safe, and to avoid microwaves as well.

I can't believe how much I love this bowl! Drawn to it by the name Ethical Pet, and because the ceramic is lead-free, it turned out to be the perfect weight - not too heavy/unwieldy as I found so many large stoneware bowls to be in pet stores, yet not too light. The slight indentation on the bottom makes it easier to handle while cleaning, and the deep blue interior is prettier than expected and looks like an inviting pool! (I had to order a second one, which unfortunately arrived shattered but was promptly replaced - thanks, Chewy!) Highly recommended.

My crack was probably 6 cups. This is a 9 cup. The lower sides makes it a little more easily accessible for the dogs. So it's actually better! But my last one --

But my last one -- I loved so much --and had for so many years, I had to try to move it when it was stuck on ice in the winter and it cracked :-( Broke my heart. I held on to it till I got this new one, even though I couldn't use it.
