The pole is made out of fiberglass and is flexible enough to bend with pressure. The lure is not designed to release when caught.

My friend gifted me this cat toy when I first got my kitty, and it broke, and Pierogi and I were both very sad. This is an exact replacement. I like how long the rod is. My cat is not easily duped by a human manipulating a toy for his enjoyment, so the longer rod means I'm a little further away and it's easier for him to pretend the feathers are moving on their own lol

This wand has a great length, the feathers are on a spinny thing so it looks extra awesome when you fling it around, the clear fishing wire stuff is also a good

This wand has a great length, the feathers are on a spinny thing so it looks extra awesome when you fling it around, the clear fishing wire stuff is also a good length. Only problem is if your cat is a biter they may slice right through the line and that's a bummer. Otherwise it's awesome!

Different this time

My cat has loved these! I love them because she eats yarn or ribbon so it’s safely on a fish line type cable. Unfortunately, this last purchase had a different type

My cat has loved these! I love them because she eats yarn or ribbon so it’s safely on a fish line type cable. Unfortunately, this last purchase had a different type of cable which broke right away. I tied it back to the wand and it’s twisted and kinked and not at all the quality of the old wand. :(
