Crickets like dark spaces, which is why this pen comes equipped with two black dispensing tubes to encourage your critters to crawl inside. The main portion of the pen is completely clear, so you can keep an eye on your crickets and the top has plenty of ventilation for ample air flow. And when it comes time to remove the lid, the tubes remain in position to help ensure your crickets don’t escape. Every purchase also comes with a cricket food dish and a water bowl.

Egg cartons & a large box or plastic storage container work much better then this entrapment
The best part of this was the crickets who lived in the tubes and survived a while. Otherwise it’s cricket mayhem and stomping death.
To me it is a small tank to hold crickets .hope crickets will live long in it .
The product itself is great! Like other reviews stated, it came cracked, but nothing a little duct tape couldn't fix. I have about 100 small crickets in mine and I could definitely fit another 50-75. It comes with little dishes to put cricket food and thirst quenchers in which I genuinely appreciated. Tubes work great and I definitely recommend this keeper, especially if you are like me and are icked out by the idea of having to touch crickets to feed your baby (the tubes are a lifesaver).
It looks like it'll do nicely for our bearded crickets but it came with a big crack in it.
Well, how did I do without this? The easiest way to feed crickets to our beardie! I put the whole carrier inside the enclosure,(dragon loves to watch them jump around) pop the tube out and feed. Crickets naturally crawl up the tubes, holds quite a bit. This carrier is not for housing but is great to hold about 20 large sized for a day. Easy to clean, none have escaped out of the tube flap. Just love this, it is a MUST have!
This cricket pen is awesome. I was reading some reviews that said the crickets escaped. Don’t see how that is possible. I’ve had mine for 2 weeks and, have 20 small crickets and not one has escaped! Love the sponge water dish, I watch them sit on it and drink. They drink a lot, remember to keep the sponge wet. The tubes are awesome! Makes feeding my salamander, so simple. Going to order another one so I can have something to put them in while cleaning out each pen. Highly recommend this. There was a small crack down the side, when I got it but I just covered it with clear packing tape. Hasn’t caused any issues.
This product is exactly what I expected. It did arrive with the big crack in the bottom of it, and I’ve been too lazy to return it, so I will need to order another. But it is exactly what I was looking for.
I use this for our Dubia Roaches for our BD. I do not use the black tubes but I could see how they could be useful for crickets.
Don't bother. Crickets can basically walk right out of this thing. After losing a whole batch of "small-medium" crickets overnight, I taped up most of the top. Went back to local pet store and bought more crickets. Half escaped. Put this box inside a 2-gallon Ziploc bag with the top unzipped but, raised all the way up. It was a pretty good solution. I have 4-7 crickets in the bag every morning when I get up. I dump them back into the box every day and do it all over again the next day. I have found crickets all over my dang house for months bc of this "keeper". It was knocked off the kitchen counter by our kitten yesterday and the side now has a long crack in it. I'm looking for a replacement. It won't be this. The food dishes are nice and functional.
