I gave it 3 stars because they are kinda useless for me! My little beardie Mohave "Jave" is still eating small size food like Dubias and these are too large for them! I didn't expect them to be so wide, the length is good. These are probably perfect for others just not for those of us feeding smaller sized reptile. Jave is about 8 inches long
First I want to declare that I had never before now used one of these tongs to feed a lizard so I am not very adept yet and my lizard is little yet but she's got a lot of growth to do. These tongs are going to be excellent for when my lizard gets bigger and can eat the bigger mealworms. Right now the ones she has to have I'm afraid of squashing with the tongs. So just a note for those who've not used these before like me: make sure your pet will eventually be able to eat foods big enough to be held with the tongs. My lizard will eventually be about 8-10" but she's not even half that yet so she's just a baby. :)
I use this for giving my crickets food, and it works well.
These tongs are perfect for feeding my snake. I like the rubber tips in case she accidently bites the tongs, but the angle on them really helps make sure that doesn't happen.
Honestly, these are the best tongs you can get to feed your small to medium sized reptiles with. I love the angled rubber protected tips. Now I don't have to worry about my snake hurting herself on tongs again.
I've tried a few different tongs and these are my favorite. Easy to grab onto insects and most importantly it protects my reptiles teeth from injury.
It doesn’t break easily and it does not get rusty at all I have 2 leopard geckos one a baby and one a adult!
