Does this provide the heat source?

The Exo Terra Day & Night LED illuminates your terrarium with a minimum of heat and a maximum of light output. An almost complete absence of heat production reduces the risk of overheating during summer season and allows natural night time temperature drops.

Doesn’t heat the terrarium!

I like this for my created Geko! It doesn’t heat it but gives off the day and night feature. My only issue if that the neck of the light isn’t long.

Didn’t do it’s job

Whether it was on day setting or night it did not keep the temp up. As soon as I switched to this light the temperature started to drop in the tank and kept dropping

Doesn’t work with just any tank

Needs to be put in the description that this light doesn’t work with just any kind of tank setup. The way my lid sets on top this light will not mount and set right

Mounting is Strange

I thought when I bought this that you would be able to mount it to the wall near the enclosure but the mounting piece actually faces the terrarium. Be aware of this

I thought when I bought this that you would be able to mount it to the wall near the enclosure but the mounting piece actually faces the terrarium. Be aware of this if you have a wood terrarium because the sticky part does not stick! Luckily I have my enclosure against the wall so I just slid the light in! It works great besides that and gives my snake a good time cycle.

This light is cool.

This LED light is cool! I'm overall happy with it! It comes with a 3m adhesive mounting bracket that sticks right to the back of tank. The light slides right down

This LED light is cool! I'm overall happy with it! It comes with a 3m adhesive mounting bracket that sticks right to the back of tank. The light slides right down into the bracket. It has a touch switch that works every time I've touched it. Switches between ON (15 LEDS), ON NIGHT LIGHT (1 LED). It produces no heat. My only complaint is the fact that the height at which the light sets at once installed is very minimal and cannot be adjusted any higher. Therefore in a wider terrarium the light doesn't cast the width of a 30-in tank. If you could Elevate the light higher you could for sure cast the light throughout but with the provided bracket it's not possible. I must add that the light works very well! I would just prefer the light to be casted more throughout not so focused in the middle.

This light is perfect! My daughter has crested geckos and wanted a light to see them better, but we didn’t want to add any heat to the cage by doing so. This light is perfect, it’s a great size, and has touch on-night light- and off setting. It also adheres to the side of the tank very easily as well. Highly recommend!
