Do they raise the PH level in aquariums or change the balance as some of your other rocks do

These pebbles do not change the PH level. However, it is important that the pebbles are rinsed before adding to any aquarium. The white bean pebble is a natural stone with no wax or coating on it but it does have a bit of rock "powder" due to the natural substance so it should be rinsed well to avoid clouding up an aquarium.

Are these painted?

Pebbles were a good size.

Tank is black in color so wanted to have more contrast by adding white pebbles. Looks fantastic.

Pebbles used for outdoor landscaping

I bought these pebbles 4 years ago. They are very good pebbles. Be aware that they are very white and some of them do stain from algae, or get a rust like stain

I bought these pebbles 4 years ago. They are very good pebbles. Be aware that they are very white and some of them do stain from algae, or get a rust like stain. After 4 years they still look good. I recently just bought 3 more bags. Shipping on both occasions, pebbles broke lose from the bags and spilled out of the box. These bags are heavy and should be packaged individually instead of shipped all together in 1 flimsy cardboard box reason why I give 4 stars. L

Decent product

The product itself isn’t bad, but they do seem not to care how it’s shipped. Mine came ripped open in the box which lead to some of it falling out during shipping

Cloudy even after rinsing forever

BEWARE! Bought these for my 10 gallon freshwater tank… rinsed really well until water ran clear and they made my tank super cloudy still. Took the whole tank apart

BEWARE! Bought these for my 10 gallon freshwater tank… rinsed really well until water ran clear and they made my tank super cloudy still. Took the whole tank apart and rinsed again for a looooonnggg time. Put it all back together and the tank is STILL cloudy even after several water changes. :/ scared to put my new fish in this tank. Also CLOGGED my new filter after a few days. Don’t buy these for a fish tank!

Stain Extremely Easily

I bought these knowing what I was getting into with having to clean them really well before putting them into the tank and about having to pick out the off-white

I bought these knowing what I was getting into with having to clean them really well before putting them into the tank and about having to pick out the off-white pebbles. I was fine with all of that. I am not fine with cleaning my tank a few weeks later and realizing none of the dirt/algae will come off of the pebbles at all. I’m not going to scrub each individual pebble. I use a python aquarium cleaner that cleans any other gravel really well. Not this. Would not recommend. Very pretty for a week or two. Good luck.
