Do they raise the PH level in aquariums or change the balance as some of your other rocks do
Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2018
These pebbles do not change the PH level. However, it is important that the pebbles are rinsed before adding to any aquarium. The white bean pebble is a natural stone with no wax or coating on it but it does have a bit of rock "powder" due to the natural substance so it should be rinsed well to avoid clouding up an aquarium.

Are these painted?

Cloudy even after rinsing forever

BEWARE! Bought these for my 10 gallon freshwater tank… rinsed really well until water ran clear and they made my tank super cloudy still. Took the whole tank apart and rinsed again for a looooonnggg time. Put it all back together and the tank is STILL cloudy even after several water changes. :/ scared to put my new fish in this tank. Also CLOGGED my new filter after a few days. Don’t buy these for a fish tank!

Stain Extremely Easily

I bought these knowing what I was getting into with having to clean them really well before putting them into the tank and about having to pick out the off-white pebbles. I was fine with all of that. I am not fine with cleaning my tank a few weeks later and realizing none of the dirt/algae will come off of the pebbles at all. I’m not going to scrub each individual pebble. I use a python aquarium cleaner that cleans any other gravel really well. Not this. Would not recommend. Very pretty for a week or two. Good luck.

High quality aquarium gravel

The pebbles were just what I needed. I added them to some existing gravel in the tank to brighten it up a little. Great quality for a reasonable price...

Good for price

So first, these are a great deal and look very pretty. The only problem is they take FOREVER to rinse. You have to rinse it until the water looks clear and I took 1/4 of the bag to rinse and it took over an hour. I am not saying I don't recommend this because the price is great and they are pretty, however, make sure to start a movie (or two!) while rinsing these so you don't get bored. It also hurts my hands very much and makes them dry and get little cuts so make sure to use gloves or a spoon to stir it around and avoid the pain. If you are money tight this is good, but if you can avoid it just get a different brand.

White Pebble Perfection

This product was the perfect addition to showcase my new black fountain! After filling the atrium area with new soil, pea gravel, and finally bags of these small polished white rock, they were the finishing touch to a new re-do of a focal area in the middle of my home. I highly recommend this product - exactly as described!

extremely dusty

Looks good in the tank but SUPER dusty, had to rinse more than 10 times to get the dust out.

First off, these pebbles although very pretty, are NOT worth the trouble. They are not even designated for aquariums, meant for landscaping and decorative purposes only. After reading other reviews and saw the dust issue, i proceeded to rinse them very thoroughly. then i set up the aquarium. Unfortunately that was not enough. Things kind of seemed okay at first but a day later when I started planting things, my aquarium Became very cloudy from the gravel movement. I was hoping things would settle but they did not after five days. After great debate, i decided to pull everything apart and have a do over. I literally rinsed these pebbles in a bucket in seven small batches in my tub for FOUR hours! Set the whole aquarium up again and it's definitely better but still nowhere near crystal clear. I have to let it go and just be happy with the way things are as my aching back cannot handle rinsing these stupid things again. Never again!
