Fancy Feast (Purina) increased their price from .35 to $.90 a can. I believe the mark up was 171% from 2017 to 2024. I called them. It may be made here but all the ingredients come from China (cargo containers full). In the WSJ last summer an article stated they would not be increasing their prices on pet food. Nice of them since they made a walloping profit prior to this. Well my local grocery store sells cheaper than Chewy does. So what happened? This is one of the few flavors my cats don't get sick on. So my question is did Purina (owned by Nestles) increase their prices again because of tariffs? This is no reflection on Chewy I'm just asking?

I have been ordering this brand and flavor for decades. My cats have not been eating the last shipments. This past shipment made them all vomit and were sick for days. This food has changed, and it is bad. Same with other flavors. I am going to have find an alternative.

I've been feeding Fancy Feast Pate "flavors" for some time now, mostly chicken, liver and fish. I thought I would replace the fish for the beef to change things up for the cats. I introduced it slowly into the mix and they both really seem to like it. Cats are fickle creatures so we'll see how long they have a favorable view of this flavor. They have not tired of the chicken or liver as of yet. I rotate the flavors day to day. I have a lot of confidence in Fancy Feast as opposed to some other brands.

Our 3 year old cats have always like their fancy feast pate. Beef was their go-to and sometimes they'd eat the chicken or liver for something different. The latest batch they will not eat at all, which makes me think the brand has changed the ingredients or something. Bummer to have to find a new food.

I bought this flavor as a rotation for my cats. My cats are very finicky and want variety. They used to like this, but now they each would sniff it, then walked away or tried to bury it. They looked at me afterward as were saying “what-gives mom”! “This stinks”!

I don’t know what has been going on, but cat has not been wanting to eat this flavor anymore. Same thing has happened with another fancy feast flavor. I’ve been seeing a lot of reviews and Reddit threads where pet parents who have been getting their food delivered from chewy have been having the same problems, cats not wanting to go near it. Something is going on with the batches chewy is sending out. And of course, there is no way to request a refund on food not touched. So it’s a waste of money and cat food.

Cat's favorite flavor of food

This is Wilbur's favorite food. I don't know why a cat would like beef given that no domestic cat is going to take down and eat a cow in the wild, but I don't question

dented cans

with each order, more and more dented cans come in, I toss out the real bad ones, I don't want to risk botulism with my cats... but otherwise I like Chewy a lot

Oliver is twelve now and for his first eleven years he ate Fancy Feast seafood, turkey, and beef grilled and in gravy, flavors rotated daily. I didn’t give him pate because its appearance creeped me out. Well one day last year I decided to add seafood pate to his menu and he absolutely loves it; so much so that I just swapped out his grilled beef for beef pate. He now eats pate every other day and he is a happy boy.
