    Great Food

By BilboLola on Apr 7, 2021

I have been feeding this to both of my dogs for 9 months and haven’t had any issues. While feeding Farmina N&D to both of my dogs I have noticed improved coats, less tartar build up between teeth brushings, and regular bowel movements-no more diarrhea. I was having a problem with UTIs with one of my dogs which my vet believes were caused by the previous food I was feeding my dogs. The vet did a urine strip test and my dogs ph was way off from where it should be and suggested a kibble that had more fruit/more acidity... It’s been 9 months since we started this food and it’s been 9 months since we have had a UTI.

Recipe changed, my dog won't touch it anymore

By GeordiLF on Mar 26, 2021

Clearly something has changed with this dog food. My puppy has been eating it without any problems for more than half year, it seemed he loved it. Then I noticed there is a change of texture of the kibble in my recent purchase. It becomes dry and powderish compare to smooth and shiny in the past. Then my dog won't touch it at all. When I am trying to feed hime by hand he just looked away to avoid it. I though he may have an upset stomach or sign of diarrhea, took him to the vet, everything was normal. Now he's been pretty happy with his new home made food. But, he would just walk away every time when I try to put even tiny bit of these kibble to mix with his food. I won't buy this again and Clearly something has changed with this dog food. My puppy has been eating it without any problems for more than half year, it seemed he loved it. Worked for us!

By Sjbm on Mar 28, 2021

I bought this brand by word of mouth for its ingredient list for a dry kibble. My double doodle transitioned in a week to this brand from what the breeder had. He did get runny one day but seemed unbothered and became completely solid again. I did notice he doesn’t eat as much as he did the old food, but his weight gaining has been unaffected.

Great puppy food but a bit rich

By Mindy on Jan 12, 2021

I switched my four-month-old puppy to Farmina because she was a little on the thin side, and Farmina is a much higher calorie puppy food. I’d also heard wonderful things about the quality and ingredients of Farmina from a friend who is also a Veterinarian. Farmina recipes contain no peas or legumes!!! My puppy has done very well on the Farmina, she’s put on weight, and the only issue I had with the food was that my pup’s stools were a bit soft, formula is very rich. The nutritional value is protein around 38% and fat around 28%. So for now I am mixing her Farmina with Proplan puppy 50/50. Once she is a year old, and I switch her to adult food, I am planning on transitioning her to 100% I switched my four-month-old puppy to Farmina because she was a little on the thin side, and Farmina is a much higher calorie puppy food. Good dry food

By Terrie on Mar 10, 2021

I’m a raw feeder but keep a bag of kibble on hand in case I forget to thaw out enough food. All my dogs like this food and eat it well.

    Excellent Customer Service

By JmeD on Nov 28, 2020

I accidentally ordered a 26 lb bag of this dog food except the adult version for my 8 week old puppy. I didn’t realize it was the wrong one until I opened the bag and saw how big the kibble was. I didn’t expect anything from Chewy because the error was all mine, but I contacted them anyway after a friend suggested it based on her past experience with them (positive). When I reached out to them, they immediately refunded my money, offered to order me the right bag with free shipping and told me to donate the open bag to a local shelter (which I did). The new food arrived quickly and my pup is a happy one.

    Good product

By Debbie on Dec 27, 2020

This kibble has a high rating on dog food advisor. My puppy loves it. The breeder was giving her Farmina chicken/pomegranate so I figured the lamb blueberry would work well too. No GI problems and she loves it.

    HAS A BAD SMELL

By AAKA on Oct 18, 2020

This is the 2nd time getting this. Both times now it has a really bad smell to it. The 1st time I thought it was the container I stuck it in. But now just opening the new bag I know otherwise. I’m not sure to continue feeding this to my puppy or not. Is the horrible smell normal??? I also feed him nature’s logic and that brand doesn’t have a horrible smell. My next auto shop I picked the ocean hearing /orange flavor but now thinking to choose a different brand.

Great food on paper, not for the puppy's bowels :(

By ChelsiF on Oct 20, 2020

I am sure I don't need to go into too much detail here, but this has not gone over well with my puppy. I also bought the adult version, and that hasn't worked either! I tried a very slow transition, backed off a bit even, but whenever this kibble is added into their normal, we have very soft to liquid stools. On paper though, VERY good food ingredient wise, and even into manufacturing and QC. I have never had a grain inclusive food do this to my pups!

Looked great, just wasn't for us

By Zella on Jan 14, 2021

Unfortunately for us, Zella couldn't tolerate the food after even 2 weeks of slow transition. . So our search continues.
