Didn’t work out for us

Our 7 month old English lab didn’t gel well with this. The food led to a lot of stomach issues even with the extremely slow transition. This led to him losing appetite

Our 7 month old English lab didn’t gel well with this. The food led to a lot of stomach issues even with the extremely slow transition. This led to him losing appetite. We threw out half the bag and gave up. Switched to Purina Pro Plan and things are back to normal again

My German Shepherd eats like a horse, and needed 4+ cups of other food brands to hold weight. That also means she was pooping like a horse! On this food, I'm able to feed half the amount while she keeps weight, and her poops are smaller and healthier. She is active and happy. Very satisfied with this brand- it's pricey but feeding less and having happy dogs means it's worth the cost!

Strong Smell and Unpleasant Stool Reaction

I really wanted to like this food because Farmina usually has great ingredients, but this lamb & blueberry formula has an extremely strong odor. Everyone in my house

I really wanted to like this food because Farmina usually has great ingredients, but this lamb & blueberry formula has an extremely strong odor. Everyone in my house noticed it right when I opened the bag. After transitioning my puppy to this food, her stool also became very smelly compared to before. I followed the proper switch schedule, but the smell from the kibble and stool did not improve. I’ve since switched to another high-quality brand and the problem went away immediately. This might work for some dogs, but if you are sensitive to strong smells or your dog reacts the same way, you may want to try a different protein formula or brand.

My puppy quit having the scoots.

I have a Doberman puppy, and apparently, he's a little diva. I ended up having to make his food myself because all of the fancy kibbles I tried gave him the scoots

I have a Doberman puppy, and apparently, he's a little diva. I ended up having to make his food myself because all of the fancy kibbles I tried gave him the scoots. Now, I still make his food. However, I mix this dry in, and so far so good. I use it to train him as well and haven't had any problem. It's crazy expensive, but has saved my sanity.

breeders food of choice

I think this food is just okay. In my eyes the food/lamb contains a lot of fat. I think it smells horrible too. I use this food as it was recommended by the breeder

I think this food is just okay. In my eyes the food/lamb contains a lot of fat. I think it smells horrible too. I use this food as it was recommended by the breeder. I will be switching as it is very pricy & feel there are much better foods out there. Slow cooked, hard to find elsewhere and expensive.

Not for picky pups

We’ve been on the hunt to find a quality kibble for our large breed pup who’s a picky eater but she wasn’t having this food. When you first open this bag, it does

We’ve been on the hunt to find a quality kibble for our large breed pup who’s a picky eater but she wasn’t having this food. When you first open this bag, it does smell like blueberry waffles but it doesn’t have a meat smell to it. I found our picky pup is drawn to foods with a “stinker” smell like salmon. I wish Farmina offered more variety in their protein options for puppy food.
