Substitute for Hills z/d formula

You can see actual ingredients in that food. I did not find that food stinky as previously reviewed customers, it smells with regular sardines smell not to fishy

Smelly and It Works

My dog loves the Farmina hydrolyzed protein. I do not. It has a very strong odor that I find irritating. The conundrum is that I strongly believe that this recipe

My dog loves the Farmina hydrolyzed protein. I do not. It has a very strong odor that I find irritating. The conundrum is that I strongly believe that this recipe is working for my dog. Here feces looks healthier, shaped more like a log (Bristol 1) and less like pieces strung together. No vomiting, which is the best part, and a recipe that looks real and not some Frankenstein concoction. Compared to the other hydrolyzed proteins offered, I think this one is the best.

So grateful and hope it never changes

After Hills changed their hydrolyzed canned food with zero notice to include harmful ingredients for dogs with GI issues, my dog had a bad GI flare (we suspect IBD),

After Hills changed their hydrolyzed canned food with zero notice to include harmful ingredients for dogs with GI issues, my dog had a bad GI flare (we suspect IBD), and I was in panic mode. Our girl is also too sensitive for Royal Canin and Purina hydrolyzed diets- we believe because of the soy in them. I did some shopping and found this, and I am so relieved and happy so far. Her bathroom habits are actually healthier than they ever were with the hills diet, and she’s steady at almost a month into her transition. While it does smell of fish, you can tell it’s got real food in it, which pleases me. She gets sooo excited to eat again. Please please please farmina- never change your hydrolyzed formula; it is literally a life saver. Thank you!

Our youngest baby has been having some ongoing health issues. After a big pancreatitis scare, and emergency stay, back in the springtime of this year, we had to switch foods. Been feeding this and his visit to the GI specialist went well! Hoping this can be his new forever diet :-) thanks so much Farmina! Over the moon that he can eat a prescription diet that doesn’t look like wall spackling. Real food makes a real difference.

He loves the taste and it gives him some variety from the hydrolyzed chicken food. It doesn’t smell bad and it’s consistency is a soft loaf.
