I swear I have used this product for at least ten years but probably more. I had a thin-skinned quarter horse that I first purchased this for and it was great for

I swear I have used this product for at least ten years but probably more. I had a thin-skinned quarter horse that I first purchased this for and it was great for helping her shed out her winter coat. I now use it on my wooly pony who has a vendetta against curry combs and she has no issue with this whatsoever. My guess is that it doesn't tug at the skin the way a rubber curry comb does. One block lasts me about six months with somewhat regular use and I like that it can be "sharpened" on any concrete surface.

Sensitive horse is okay with the feel of the shedder

This shedder gets out a ton of hair and the hair doesn't stick to it. My horse dislikes the feeling of many brushes and curries but has no reaction to the Slick

It works

I did buy this more to brush off bot eggs and it does work for that but it also works to get off crusties. The brick is fairly brittle so you have to be careful
