I really wanted to like this leash with all the functions. Unfortunately, if you have a dog that pulls at all, it won’t be a shock absorber in the right way. It still pulls you, but they don’t get the idea that they need to stop pulling. No gentle correction or tug can get their attention because of the shock absorbing quality. The result: they pull more and you can’t do any training.

Not a terrible leash, but if you have a dog who is still training to not pull , maybe go for a different leash. The clasp broke on this and now I can’t adjust length

Actually a Great Leash, BUUUUUT....

I know I only gave it 3 stars, but this is actually a REALLY good leash. It's just not quite right for US (and maybe others if they have a pup, too), and I'll tell

I know I only gave it 3 stars, but this is actually a REALLY good leash. It's just not quite right for US (and maybe others if they have a pup, too), and I'll tell you why. First, though, I'll start with the pros: - Multi-use: What I really liked about this leash (& the reason I bought it) is that it can be used several ways. My favorite is the tether. - Poop bag clip: This is a MUST (I can't imagine having any leash without one of these, honestly). - Quality material and color options: I got gray--it's very nice and looks expensive. - VERY STURDY: My Echo is only 13lbs, and honestly, this thing is so wide and thick and solid, it almost felt like too much leash for us. My little guy is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, but that great big, solid leash can probably handle a Saint Bernard. Or a pony. Honestly, there is only one thing I don't like about this leash, but it's a biggie: The seat belt feature/portion has kind of a bungee attachment--making the end of the leash springy. This is not great when trying to train a pup not to pull. Instead of the snap of a leash I need, it just sort of...bounces. I can't deliver an effective leash correction with that. That's the ONLY drawback. The leash is literally amazing in every other way. If your dog is already perfect on leash, then it's no biggie, and this thing is perfection. And I highly recommend it for you. But if, like me, you have a pup or a dog that needs direction and correction every now and then, you might look elsewhere, because that bungee portion will do you no favors.

We love the many securing options of this lead, and we continue to use it for that reason. However, the metal-on-metal components on the lead (like the main clip, especially) squeak constantly. We’ve WD-40ed the main clip many times, but it doesn’t last very long. Would be way better if there was a rubber gasket or something to prevent the clip bearing from rotating and rubbing. The constant, high-pitched squeak is super annoying on walks.

I needed a leash I could have around my waist because it actually helps me control Buddy better when we are out. Sometimes he gets stubborn on a scent and has pulled the leash from my hand. He cannot do this when he's attached to me. I just stop in my tracks. It does also have a hand hold of you like but primarily this works around the waist. It has been great controlling buddy but if you have a large strong dog check that the clip is strong enough. It's plastic. I usually use metal clips to secure buddy. This had been great for us though! I would recommend.

This leash has some convenient features, but unfortunately, the elastic part stretched out completely after about a month of use. Also, the car seatbelt attachment is too long, which if you have a dog that moves around a lot, they can easily get from the passenger seat to the driver’s seat, which makes it unsafe to use while driving.

I love this leash for everything! Although not great for training because of the bungee, it’s great for tethering a pup, jogging, leisurely walks when you want your dog to have fun and even purposeful walks. Plus, when you have to stop and pick up poop, the hands free option is so helpful.

I’m feeling 50/50 on this one. It’s comfortable and adjustable to wear sound the waist. However, it takes away from home much leash the dog has the bigger you adjust it. I don’t like that when I go to grab my dog, my hand always touches the clip. I’m always afraid I’m going to accidentally click it when grabbing her quickly. It seems sturdy, it has not unclipped while walking and I’ve got two large breed pullers. I like the color and the strong clip that goes onto the dog. It feels very sturdy. I haven’t used the car seat belt though as I have other car safety gear I use. It does not swivel, so I’m often adjusting the leash on my waist if my dog is going left to right often or goes behind me.

So - does all it is intended to. We use as hands free around waist. Feels v secure. Love the color. Love the stretchy section - once we put it around our moderately fit, middle aged middles however, we wish the actual leash was longer. So. We added an extender - which has solved the problem albeit a little clunkily.
