AWESOME!!
I would buy these mini hay bails for my bunnies all the time at my local pet store because they love them so much. Chewy has such better prices, better quality, and ships super fast! I will be buying much more for my buns continuously from chewy. 10000% recommend this product and especially chewy.
Unhappy pigs
I bought these mini bales having purchased a similar item that my pigs loved. Well it has been a week and my pigs have turned their noses up and refuse to eat it! Unfortunately this was a double pack and I bought another one so I am stuck with three of these bales. You have to wonder what is so offensive that they won’t even nibble on it???
Poppy's New Obsession
I thought that I would never find something that my piggy loves more than carrots, but boy I was wrong! She is OBSESSED with these mini hay bales. She of course, loves the carrot one but she also loves the marigold one too! I really like that the mini hay bales are tightly wound because my girl needs the extra exercise. She loves to roll them around and tries to throw them in the air. It's so cute. The quality is amazing. We have always been fans of Kaytee!
Fun enrichment!
My guinea pigs loved tearing these apart! These little bales are filled with super fresh hay and my boys loved both the carrot and the marigold topping. Even though they always have fresh hay in their cage, they kept coming back to these to nibble and play. Within two days, they were pretty much gone! I think they'll be really great on days when I have to work late or won't be home all day, both for boredom and as an extra food source!
Cute but has potato starch
These mini hay bales with toppings are adorable! However the ingredients say that potato starch is used. I'm guessing as a binder. My understanding is that guinea pigs cannot consume potato products and as a rule I don't feed it to them. I did scrape off the starchy/"glue" part and toppings and give the bakes to them. They definitely enjoying destroying the bale and seemed to like the quality of the hay used!
Barrels of Fun- Boredom Busters!
These cute lil bales are great boredom busters- Dumpling loves rolling them around, tossing them, pulling out pieces and of course loves the way that they are topped. I think he likes the carrot the best- he loves nibbling from the top! The hay smelled really good when it was opened, I love the scent of fresh Timothy hay and Dumpling loves having these for a fun treat. Its always good to break up their routine and give them healthy treats that also stimulate their mind... will definitely get more of these!
So convenient, No mess!
The mini hay bales from Field + Forest by Kaytee are the perfect little bundles of nutrients for my guinea pigs without anything artificial added. Naturally grown without GMO’s or pesticides. My guinea pigs absolutely love these high fiber Timothy hay bales full of nutrients and I love that there there is no mess when feeding them with these cute little bundles.
Love these healthy treat/toys!
These hay bales were like a healthy treat & enrichment activity all in one! The piggies immediately started munching and flipping the hay bale over to check it out some more. They were really intrigued by the carrot pieces; I can’t wait to try the one with marigolds! The hay bale was devoured over the course of the night with many popcorns. It’s was so much fun to watch!

To my surprise, my guinea pig's enthusiasm knew no bounds, accidentally devouring an entire bale in a day when I momentarily looked away. These hay bales are so much fun. They're bales of the hay my piggies love, with lots of fuzzies (the seed heads - their favorite) and some flower or carrot treats on top. Even better, they're in a compact bale that gives them enrichment and fun as they eat. I love that it gives them an activity but with the hay they already love. Such a fun treat!
