Fanny, my dog, did not like them. They were too hard. I tried to help her get the marrow out by breaking them, but all they did was splinter. They then became a NO, NO for her. I let her have one for over a day and she just did not even touch it. Will not order again.

My dog is 3 years old and 25#. She has IBD so can't have beef........I was so excited to find these bones in a meat she could enjoy. Within minutes she had pulled long, sharp shards of bone off....leaving the remaining intact bone with splinters and very sharp edges. She could easily have swallowed the shards or cut her mouth on the sharp edges. I emailed the company in CA asking how they processed this product...and did not get an answer. The remaining bones will definitely go right into the trash.....

Packaging is clear and informative. Comes with two bones that measure about 5 inches in length. My dog loved chewing on the bone and trying to get the marrow. The bones also still have some dried membrane on them, which my dog really likes. My dog is a chihuahua/terrier mix at about 20lbs and it lasted him quite a while.

Perfect Chew for Corgis: First Light Venison Bones

I recently tried the **First Light Farms Venison Marrowbone Free Range Dog Bones** for my two corgis, and they absolutely loved them! The bones are the perfect size for my dogs, providing an engaging chew without being too large or tough for them to handle. The venison flavor seems to be a big hit—both corgis couldn’t get enough of them! What I appreciate most is that these bones are sourced from free-range venison, which gives me peace of mind about the quality and ethical sourcing. The marrow inside adds an extra layer of richness, and my dogs seemed to really enjoy the flavor and texture. Plus, I noticed they kept busy for a good amount of time, which is great for helping with teething and overall dental health. Overall, I’d highly recommend these bones to anyone with a dog that loves to chew and enjoys a good treat. They’re a high-quality, natural option that my corgis definitely approve of!

I was initially very excited to try First Light Farms Venison Marrowbone Free-Range Dog Bone. My dogs were thrilled too, and dove right in with gusto. The bone seemed like the perfect treat – natural, nutritious, and long-lasting. For the first couple of hours, everything was perfect. My dogs were happily occupied, gnawing away and enjoying the flavorful marrow. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to concern when I noticed one of the bones had started splintering into sharp shards. This was alarming, as these sharp pieces could easily have caused an injury to my dog's mouth or throat, or worse, become a choking hazard. Pros: Initially Appealing: The bones looked and smelled great, and my dogs were immediately drawn to them. Natural Ingredients: I appreciated that the bone was made from free-range venison and free of artificial ingredients. Cons: Splintering Hazard: The bone splintered into dangerous shards after only a couple of hours of chewing, posing a serious safety risk. Potential for Injury: The sharp splinters could easily cut my dog's mouth or throat, or cause internal damage if swallowed. Choking Hazard: Smaller splinters could break off and become lodged in my dog's throat, leading to choking. Overall Impression: While the initial experience with the First Light Farms Venison Marrowbone was positive, the fact that it splintered into sharp shards is a major deal-breaker for me. I cannot recommend this product due to the serious safety concerns it presents. I'm disappointed because it seemed like a great treat, but the potential for injury is simply too high. Recommendation: I urge First Light Farms to investigate this issue and consider ways to improve the bone's durability to prevent splintering. Until then, I will not be purchasing this product again and would advise other dog owners to exercise extreme caution or consider alternative chew treats.

Real bines with all the up and downs of real bone

Our dogs loved these bones! It’s nice to be able To give them something that I feel confident about. We have 2 labs so the bones didn’t last long . Upside : these

Our dogs loved these bones! It’s nice to be able To give them something that I feel confident about. We have 2 labs so the bones didn’t last long . Upside : these are natural bones which is great for the dogs Downside: These bones do have a bit of a strange ordor. Not strange as is in they add bad, but just a strong scent . The bones also splinter so if you have concerns about your dogs ingesting bone fragments, these aren’t a good thing Overall, these are nice . Pricey, but nice

My dog loved these! They were the perfect size for her. (She’s a 120lb Daniff for reference) they did splinter a bit, so they are a little messy but we just ensure she eats it in one spot. I would also recommend keeping an eye on your dog, because of the splinters that come off. They didn’t smell rancid either, so that’s a plus.

Disappointed

I really wanted to like these. My dog loved the one a gave him, they don't smell "horrible" and they are a perfect treat size. After giving one of these to my dog he had it broken into splitters within minutes and I had to take it away as this is a huge hazard. That being said, he is an extremely aggressive chewer so if your dog is normal these could last for hours or days.

All natural bones but watch for splintering

I like that these bones are all natural. They were a good size and our dogs went nuts for them. The only downside is that they seemed to splinter pretty easily

I like that these bones are all natural. They were a good size and our dogs went nuts for them. The only downside is that they seemed to splinter pretty easily. Probably better for a smaller dog or light chewer. Definitely recommend supervising when chewing. Other than that they seem to be good tasty bones.
