I’m noticing more and more dry dog food brands that are “higher” quality are starting to become lower quality. I bought 1 bag thinking I could slowly transition my dogs to this food so I could move away from one brand to this brand next month. My dogs, all 3 have been vomiting everyday within an hour of eating this food! I’m so upset and mad at myself for wanting to try something new. But I shouldn’t be scared of what might happen to my dogs when transitioning to a new dog food. I now worry about the poor manufacturing of dog food.
Was feeding Hills Science diet and we wanted something without some of the ingredients in the Hills. We know people that feed their dogs Firat Mate and love it. Our 2 dogs love this healthy option for a grain friendly Food. They no long are scratching and they smell better (no Frito Feet)-makes me wonder what was in the Hills causing skin irritation?
We switched to this after feeding our dog the firstmate lamb formula for a while because this one was $10 cheaper per bag. Our dog likes everything so the switch was easy but we have noticed that his breath and body odor is considerably worse since starting this food! Nothing else changed and it started as soon as we switched so I think it must be the food. To me it’s worth paying a little more per month to have his fur/skin/mouth in better shape. I guess I’ll still recommend this for the price point and ingredients but it’s not my first choice.
Trying this dog food cause my dog is having an allergy problem with food.Hoping it works for his sake, took some pics of the kibble with a dime and pea.My dog is on the smaller size and kibble is on the medium to larger size.
