Too dry for my Pixie.

I thought I was buying the canned dubias that should have a higher moisture content. These are vacuum sealed in a plastic bag. Very dry, not moist. I worry about

I thought I was buying the canned dubias that should have a higher moisture content. These are vacuum sealed in a plastic bag. Very dry, not moist. I worry about potential GI blockage and possible prolapse. Removing them from my auto-ship.

these are just meh

So my 3 beardies liked the grasshoppers, for the most part. These Dubia… they would not touch them. They were very wary and took it to spit it out and wouldn’t take

So my 3 beardies liked the grasshoppers, for the most part. These Dubia… they would not touch them. They were very wary and took it to spit it out and wouldn’t take it again. Also, these smelled absolutely awful. I order live Discoid roaches because basically no pet store sells them and Dubia are illegal in FL. I thought it would be nice to have a few packs in reserve for when the Discoids run out too soon or are on back order. I guess I could try the grasshoppers again as a backup plan.

Great Alternative To Live Insects

I really have no problem with feeding live insects to my reptiles, but these are a great alternative to live insects if you are opposed to it. The ONLY issue I have

I really have no problem with feeding live insects to my reptiles, but these are a great alternative to live insects if you are opposed to it. The ONLY issue I have with these is that some reptiles just simply won't eat dead insects. Some will, and for them it's great, but some just refuse dead insects. My female bearded dragon loves these, but I have to flip the roach around as if it were alive to convince her to eat it. Not a problem for me though. If your reptile is extremely food motivated and will eat anything in sight, these are an awesome buy. If your reptile is picky, I'd just stick to live insects. One thing I love about these is that they don't stink at all, which I expected vaccuum sealed roaches to smell absolutely horrendous but these don't stink.
