This recipe has a protein content of approximately 6% as fed and 33.33% on a dry matter basis, a carbohydrate content of approximately 4% as fed and 22.22% on a dry matter basis, a phosphorous content of approximately 0.13% as fed and 0.72% on a dry matter basis, and a sodium content of approximately 0.06% as fed and 0.33% on a dry matter basis.
Is this food more for cats with kidney disease (CRF) or cats that have renal issues like infections?

This complete and balanced wet food is made with the lower protein levels recommended for cats with kidney issues, as well as the lower phosphorous and sodium that cats with heart trouble may require.
I’ve read that dandelion is bad for cats with bladder crystals. I don’t want to make a situation worse. Also, what is the total ash %. Thanks

Dandelion promotes bile production, helps intestinal transit and is fundamental in removing excess liquid from the body. It’s considered a bland laxative since it can ease defecation and reduce intestinal inflammation. The dandelion’s content in inulin helps the beneficial intestinal flora, thus promoting general wellbeing. Its diuretic properties make it useful against water retention and as a depurative aid.

A lifesaver !

My elderly cat has always been a fussy eater but as she's grown older and her sense of smell has diminished, it's been a challenge to get her to eat enough. I refuse to give her any of the commercial prescription renal cat foods because the ingredients are just garbage. So, I reluctantly tried Forza10 Renal Support. OMG! My old girl chows this stuff down and even licks the bowl clean!!! I cannot believe something so good for her is making her so happy to eat.

Amazing product!

One year ago, our 16-year-old male Tabby was failing rapidly with kidney failure and only 25% function remaining. We tried every available prescription diet available, but he had no appetite for any of it. Six months ago, by chance, I came across Forza Renal Actiwet. For his first meal, he ate the entire tin and continues to eat two tins a day with amazing enthusiasm. He has gained weight, as well as his activity, and his coat is beautiful

Nope. Cat won't eat it

My usual go-to food was out of stock, so I tried this one. It's a hard NO for my cat. He sniffs it and walks away. And what's with the square containers? Can't use the usual round lid to preserve freshness like with other foods. I sure wish there was an option to order a trial size before spending $60. I'll be donating the entire case to the cat shelter in my neighborhood. Hopefully they'll eat it.

Senior Cat

I have given up on coaching my 15 yr old cat to eat this stuff. I tried the gradual introduction; topping the food with something he enjoys. The equivalent dry food he likes and this is not on his list of go to. He was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease in October so together we are exploring foods for cats with KD. Not a winner with this choice.

Cali Approved

I was a little apprehensive buying this as some of the reviews were not great, but I am having trouble finding RX renal foods so I decided to give it a try. Cali cleaned the plate off. I did not see any bone fragments like mentioned in other reviews. You can see the rice. I checked to see it was soft. Some people seemed alarmed that the label says “lamb lung” on it. I would have you read all the other labels. Everything that is labeled “by-products” is lung, heart, organ meat (chicken by-products, pork by-products). It is in almost every pet food made.

Cats Love It, Seems to Be Good for Them, Bit Stinky

My cats gobble this food up readily and it appears to help maintain their shiny coats. The packaging is convenient. Really my only complaint is that it's a bit stinky and makes their poop stinky as well. Still I figure it is a good part of a healthy, varied diet. Would buy again.

I have finally found a food that my Kidney challenged cats will eat. They will eat Forza 10 Renal without complaint. I think they even like it and I feel so much better knowing that I am helping mitigate at least some of the kidney disease issues. So, this is why I am giving Forza 10 a 5-star rating.

My 17yr old cat only eats this!

While I don't think she is 100% in love with this wet food, I find she will eat it if i water it down a bit and mix in a little cooked butternut squash (1 tsp)..like a mini meat loaf I guess. She is 17 yrs and wont' eat any of the wet prescription food so i am happy she is interested in this Forza 10 wet food. 4 STARS

Formula Changed -Not Good

My cat absolutely loved this stuff before they changed the recipe. The color and texture has changed and she won’t eat it. I would recommend the old formula all day long but certainly not this new formula/recipe. I tried all the prescription formulas and she won’t eat them.

Cat loves this food

This is one of the most natural natural kidney diet foods I've seen. Our cat loves it more than his normal foods, which were high quality. I can't thank these people enough. I'm not sure what the fuss is over salmon being removed but we've only tried the new iteration and it's perfect.
