Is this good for training a berneese mountain she is already 45 pounds and is only 6 months old and is a puller on walks
Answer by ChewyOct 01, 2018
The 10 foot and 15 foot lead is recommended for small and medium breeds, the 20 foot for all breed sizes and the 30 foot for medium and large breeds.

VERY small width

The specs should be more clear- it is VERY THIN leash and I would not recommend for anything bigger than a 20 pound dog.

Love the training lead!

The Dog training lead is just what I was looking for. I use it to let the dog out in the yard and it is sturdy yet soft and glad that you had it in the longer length

Arrived frayed in the package

It only took a couple times rubbing against a tree to start unraveling. I had to throw it out after a week.

Escape Artist

My dog can get though fence but I also want him to have a chance to run, this leash allows me to sit in my chair and he runs all around (small dog - 12 lbs). I had a leash that pulled out but it cut me and my granddaughter, this is soft and if he decides to run and accidently catches my arm, it does not hurt. Great way to play fetch with a dog who slips though the fence.

Perfect length & strong material

Bought the 10ft black leash to walk my highly energetic 95lb Chocolate Labrador. The 10ft allows for him to go off road and me to stay on the pavement. So far, it has held up well when pulling me up hills and pulling him back to keep him from being skunked. Both the latch and the material are of good quality.

Love this leash for my dog. She seems very comfortable when on it.

Not for strong dogs

This thing held up okay for the first few uses, but my 60lb pitbull snapped it in half by getting up enough running speed.

Pretty good

It’s a very sturdy long line which is great if you have a puppy that likes to chew a lot. My only complaint is it’s just a little bulky and heavy to use. I wish I would’ve found a thinner perhaps a leather long line that would’ve been lighter weight and easier to use. But overall it’s served it’s purpose in helping to train the puppy

Can be good, can be bad

First and foremost; this product is a so-so. It can work for some, and not work for others; I'm right in the middle. The leash can get extremely dirty because of the material it is made of, it collects dirt extremely fast, but that is to be expected for outside work and a long lead that is typically used for recall. It's not too firm, so if you have a strong puller that you're training you are bound to get rope burns. Going back to the fabric subject: If you have a chewer that you're training, I'd recommend a stronger lead; I myself haven't had this problem, but based on how the material holds itself, it can be a bit weak against stronger more rebellious dogs. For me, it still holds up somewhat well, but I do not use it often, so I cannot say how it will hold with long time hard use.
