Didn't last
By Rusted on Dec 15, 2020
I bought 2 of these for my dogs weighing around 40lb. Within 2 months both of the cables snapped and one pup was running loose for 2 days before we found him. Both cables rusted right through.

Heavy weight, durable
By Aimee on Jul 13, 2020
I am pleased with this cable, it is thicker than other tie outs I've purchased. I use it on our large adult dog on an aerial line to go through doggy door. He is on the We have also a 6 months old pup and another adult dog which are loose all day and night and so far the puppy has not play bitten through this, but I've only had this tie out for a week and a half.

un-chewable !!
By danemom on Mar 29, 2020
had to buy this as my pup has chewed through EVERYTHING!!! i have to supervise his time outside with long leads, as i don't want him to get hurt. this cable drags well; however, when he gets the zoomies we almost had a catastrophe as the spring end went flying over the fence and caught in between the planks. luckily, i was not near him and noone was next door, as this could have been quite the injury!! that being said, i do like that when he gets over aroused, i can step on it and draw him in quickly to settle him down (most of the time!) i'm trying to figure out a way to hold that end down while letting him run and play. i've tried tying a brick, but that just stops him from exploring the had to buy this as my pup has chewed through EVERYTHING!!! i have to supervise his time outside with long leads, as i don't want him to get hurt. this cable drags well; however, when he gets the zoomies we almost had a catastrophe as the spring end went flying over the fence and caught in between the planks. luckily, i was not near him and noone was next door, as this could have been quite the injury!! that being said, i do like that when he gets over aroused, i can step on it and draw him in quickly to settle him down (most of the time!) i'm trying to figure out a way to hold that end down while letting him run and play. i've tried tying a brick, but that just stops him from exploring the yard. i've doubled it up clipping both clips to collar, but then there is a loop, so i watch carefully so he does not injure himself. but he can not chew through!!! BROKE after 2 months
By Trixie on Aug 5, 2020
Only had this for two months and it broke and my dog got loose. It rusted thru the cable. Not worth it!!!

Good Quaity.
By Randy on Jun 11, 2020
Exactly what I wanted to tether a large dog for short periods. I added a overload-prevention extension spring to ease the jolt if he hit the end hard (McMaster-Carr part 9630K81).

Rusted out after 10 months
By Dano on May 9, 2020
Our dog is only 20 pounds, so we were surprised when the cable snapped. It turn out that it rusted out where the end loop is. The plastic "skin" wore out at the joint, allowing water to get inside. See pictures.

did not last
By Yogi on Feb 9, 2020
Purchased this just a few months ago and it has snapped already. My dog is only 31 pounds. It kinked and started to break and then the cable just broke all together. Disappointed since it is not that old.
