Could this be tied to a tree without the hook?

If tethering dog to fence, pole or tree, a separate screw hook is required.

Does the spring attached/hook to a tie out? I have a regular exercise tie out,do I need another piece for the spring?

While the spring is not absolutely necessary, it may be attached to most tie-outs. Please refer to the attached photo.

My dogs like to chew.... could a dog chew through the cable and break it?

This cable is made of galvanized steel and would be very difficult to chew through. We always recommend frequent inspections of the cable.

very heavy duty

I got a 20 feet one for my dog, I wish I get a 30 feet but it's feels very heavy duty and my dog isn't going anywhere. She is very powerful and broke at least 6

Strong but not for long.

As I have found with all brands of tie downs, they only last about a year. The biggest problem is (Snow and Ice) in our midwestern state. Once the lead has been

As I have found with all brands of tie downs, they only last about a year. The biggest problem is (Snow and Ice) in our midwestern state. Once the lead has been subjected to these winter conditions the plastic covering cracks and breaks apart leaving metal exposed. The exposed metal then frays and breaks causing hand injuries and potential injuries to my dogs. So I have to replace the tie down lead frequently to prevent harm to myself and my pets.

Holds up to my dog pulling on the cabke

My 60 lb pittie will run until the cable is at it's length. It is sturdy enough to hold her back. Until some cables she broke, or the ends were weak

Apart perfect

The strength of the lead is excellent and it's really easy to hook up and move. But the clips are not very secure. I had my dog hooked up the first day. He rolled

The strength of the lead is excellent and it's really easy to hook up and move. But the clips are not very secure. I had my dog hooked up the first day. He rolled around a little bit and the clip came undone and he got off. I bought a couple of locking carabiners and attach him to the line with those. And it works great.
