Four Paws Magic Coat Professional Series Gentle Slicker Wire Cat Brush

My Kat didn't take to brushing. Which is fine, since he hardly sheds. He is a short-haired tabby. I just thought he might enjoy the experience. The brush is great, though and I was able to gift it to someone that has two cats with a lot of hair! And shedding problems. Hopefully, they will take to brushing. Chewy promptly refunded me and allowed me to pass on the item.

I have two short haired cats, one has very fine, shorter hair, and the other has a thicker, fuller short hair coat. The brush works well on both of them. My fine-haired cat enjoys being brushed, too, I just use it gently on her. It’s amazing how much fur the brush traps on both of them. Very pleased. The ergonomic shape makes it easy to use. I saw this same brush on another major retailer’s site for twice what I paid for it at Chewy. Win, win!

This slicker wire cat brush replaced one that really needed replacing. I love that the tines are not straight and the first time I used it it took a lot of hair off my cat. She always loves to be brushed anyway but this one probably feels a lot better than the old one. We're both very happy with this purchase.

An older wire brush had a broken handle and newer brushes weren't doing the job. When I saw this one on sale, I gave it a shot. It works exactly as I hoped, grabbing and holding the loose fur. Even the short-haired cats don't mind the wires. Now everyone looks spiffy! I saw that several reviews mentioned bent bristles, but ours arrived in good condition even though it was shipped with very heavy products.

The cat brush would have been wonderful had it not been totally crushed on one side. The packaging was terrible, and a box of cat food smashed the bristles. It took a while with needle nose pliers to straighten out most of the bristles, and it does now work. (The cats like it) It would have worked better had it not been so damaged. Most of my small items are packed so poorly that I seldom order them anymore. They come broken, smashed, collapsed because they are just thrown helter skelter in the box.

I've got a portly kitty who has trouble reaching everywhere to groom herself. She is also very sensitive to petting and brushing near her tail. But she loves this brush! The bristles are pretty sharp on the human hand, but they are magic on your cat.

This brush gets the job done. Sturdy, not cheaply made, and does a good job of locking the hair in so there's not a mess while brushing.

I have x2 cats one with the shorter coat took to it immediately. The longer haired one after a few times getting acquainted with the new brush, likes it too. It does a good job and seems to capture hair without it flying about. No problem removing hair from brush.

I didn’t like how this worked on my short-haired cats....the metal bristles were too long and I think they dug into their skin a little bit. I was going to return it but after using it on my longish haired cat, I’m in love with it! The length of the bristles is purrfect for her coat....it really gets out the undercoat. Best part, Snuffy approved! She’ll walk away if she doesn’t like the brush I’m using...she stretched out for more brushing from this brush! Highly recommend for your longer-haired cats! Oh, and The brushing made Snuffy drool!

Bought this as a gift for a family member. I own a different one that no longer appears available and I got this as an almost exact match; the cats love it!
