For a long haired cat, we were searching for a brush that would help catch the loose hairs that she would vomit up later. This brush does a great job helping us reduce hairballs with near daily brushing. And our timid cat loves the feel of brush. The bristles are firm but flexible and provide a nice scratch while grooming. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Cole has really thick fur that likes to matt up alot and this brush is very helpful with getting matts out of her fur.
