Tighten as you go - does not unscrew well

My cat LOVES this cat tree. Adores it. The problem is I put it together all in one go. And like screws sometimes do, they lossened a bit over the first twenty-four

My cat LOVES this cat tree. Adores it. The problem is I put it together all in one go. And like screws sometimes do, they lossened a bit over the first twenty-four hours. So the second day my cat ran up the tree, the whole hammock tower bit wobbled. "No big deal," I thought. "I'll just unscrew the hammock and it's supporting pole and tighten up the lower bit." Reader, when I tell you I was cursing and swearing withing five minutes of starting, I am not joking. The upper bit wouldn't BUDGE, but yet the lower bit wobbled like it would have tipped over if I looked at it funny. I tried so hard to remove the top hammock and it's supporting pole - instead of UNSCREWING, the whole hammock POPPED OFF IT'S SCREW. So I'm consulting with an engineering friend on how to solve both the dilemma of a wobbling base column and how to reattach the hammock thing to its screw. I would recommend this though IF: 1. You put it together in stages, so you give the columns/pillars time to get wobbly and be retightened if needed BEFORE putting the next level on. 2. You don't need to unscrew/disassemble for moving or other reasons.

The size & height being perfect after it was altered

Thanks to reviews for which I based my decision, I did however find it wobbly as a few others noted. I was faced with trying to repack and send it back or figure out a way to keep it. One brilliant reviewer was kind enough to post a picture of how they remedied the same situation and I copied it. Got rid of the tallest post altogether and removed the "step" leaving the base, the hammock and the round bed, which now they both love and I don't have to worry about it being knocked over :)

Reordered - second tower not so great

Jack (cat) loved this cat condo and scratched it to death. We repeated the order to get him a new one but the replacement came without the long poles this time

Jack (cat) loved this cat condo and scratched it to death. We repeated the order to get him a new one but the replacement came without the long poles this time. I suspect that someone ordered this to get the long poles as a replacement and sent it back without the long poles. This had to have been a return. Those are the two poles that my car scratched up and needed replacements so you have to buy the whole thing again. Chewy was good enough to order me a replacement but this thing is HEAVY. I don’t relish the thought of having to drag another one of these things back up the stairs but he loved it so I will ;)

Tall Cat Tree

My family of cats just love this tree! My one boy is very big, and after a week the tallest part became a bit wobbly, (he loves to run up and down it). I solved

My family of cats just love this tree! My one boy is very big, and after a week the tallest part became a bit wobbly, (he loves to run up and down it). I solved the problem by putting a block of wood between the round bed and post with 2 very long screws! It did the job and is very stable now. I bought another one for my other large cat that lives in the shop. I think he gets on it, but I am not out there enough to notice, and its cold now, so he sleeps in his warm bed. If he doesn't use it, I will bring it into the house, because I know the others will use it!!

Design issue

This is a nice cat tree, but there’s a design problem. If one cat is on the top layer and a second one in the basket, there’s no way the cat at the top can jump

This is a nice cat tree, but there’s a design problem. If one cat is on the top layer and a second one in the basket, there’s no way the cat at the top can jump down. The little ledge they might be able to use is too narrow to be useful.

Compact cat tree.

I prefer carpet on the cat tree. But I don’t know if its damaged because one of the perch leans and shakes when getting on ot.
