not sure what the perches and tunnel is made of underneath the carpet, but all the rest is constructed of wood! Quite pleasantly pleased! would absolutely recommend!

This cat tree has limited amount of synthetic material. Frisco Cat trees are compliant with TSCA Title VI, Heavy metal regulatory and Prop 65 requirements.

Is it difficult for the cat on the top perch to get down if another cat is in the tube?

The cats absolutely love it. Got it to replace the other large one we got a few years ago, that was getting pretty shredded. The cats love the top perch with its high location, and deep sides, so they can sleep, and I don't worry so much about them rolling off accidentally. The roll/tunnel part one level down, is where they have the most fun! Jumping in and out of it, rolling with their stuffed toys, etc . It did have a strong chemically smell to the carpet, so I vacuumed it good and let it air out a bit with the windows open and now its much better smell wise.

Super easy to assemble, nice carpet. My gripe is the awkward design. The tube obstructs the clearance on the lower perch, so it's not an easy jump. The basket at

Super easy to assemble, nice carpet. My gripe is the awkward design. The tube obstructs the clearance on the lower perch, so it's not an easy jump. The basket at the top is just a little too far to jump to also, it take an awkward climb. I just feel that all the levels are on top of each other and weirdly spaced. I would have made the top a flat platform, which would be easier to access than this basket.

Misu really loves this tree. It's so hard to find them with actual carpet and sisal anymore (instead of that smooth stuff that they just slip and slide on). It was easy to put together and took less than 10 minutes. The only small criticism I have is that the top bed is a little difficult to get in and out of (at least for my older petite kitty). It's almost like the lip on that top bed is too high from the top of the barrel to step down (or to jump up). I had to do a lot of catnip to get her comfortable up there. The upside to the higher walls is that she can have a jingly ball up there and it takes her much longer to yeet it across the room. Overall, love it and love not having to spend an arm and a leg to make my kitty happy.
