Unsafe and Misleading Do Not Recommend

This chew toy is marketed as beef flavored and for “heavy chewers,” which clearly implies it’s meant to be chewed aggressively and ingested in small amounts. Our dog, Charley, is not a heavy chewer, yet he destroyed this toy quickly and swallowed pieces of it. Later that night, Charley woke up and vomited. What came up were hard, sharp shards of nylon, with small traces of blood. We were shocked he didn’t seriously injure himself. Thankfully, several days later he seems okay, but this could have ended very badly. Adding insult to injury, this was a Christmas gift picked out by our 13-year-old daughter, who felt terrible when she learned it made him sick. If a product is flavored like food and marketed for chewing, it should not break down into sharp, dangerous pieces. The only bright spot is that Charley at least had the courtesy to vomit on the bathroom tile instead of our carpet. We are extremely disappointed and will not purchase this again.

Frisco apparently not for Bear

Same thing that happened to the Benebone toy happened to this? Five minutes and he had chewed the ends so badly that hard plastic pieces were dangerous. As stated

Same thing that happened to the Benebone toy happened to this? Five minutes and he had chewed the ends so badly that hard plastic pieces were dangerous. As stated before we've had identical toys that took Bear months to get in this condition. Sanding off rough worked well but if its happening within the first Five minutes of playing with it, then we can't keep up. Last toys cut his gums and mouth. Super durable toy but aggressive chewers take it to another level.

Purchased this for my dog and she really enjoyed it, however it didn’t last very long. She has only had it for about three weeks and we have noticed small bits of the bone on the floor. We are pretty sure she has also swallowed quite a bit of it. This was not her only chew toy that she used in the past few weeks- had it been the only one then it would’ve lasted no more than a week! She has not destroyed a chew toy like this since we adopted her as a rescue 5 1/2 years ago. This toy is not worth your money.

I want to like this item but don’t. My puppy who is not quite a year old is a heavy chewer. She chewed what you see in the picture I’m only 30 minutes of receiving

I want to like this item but don’t. My puppy who is not quite a year old is a heavy chewer. She chewed what you see in the picture I’m only 30 minutes of receiving this. While I don’t expect an item to last forever, I think more than 30 minutes is not too much to ask. There are other chewers that she has that are still around.

Not durable

This bone was an instant hit with my dog who can be picky. Unfortunately, it did not stand up to focused chewing, had to be taken away and he threw up the remnants

This bone was an instant hit with my dog who can be picky. Unfortunately, it did not stand up to focused chewing, had to be taken away and he threw up the remnants in the evening. While I know no bone is chew proof I don’t consider my border collie mix to be a tough chewer and this bone was described as durable. Too expensive for 1/2 hour of enjoyment.

Not suitable for a heavy chewer

Within one minute my dog had chewed off the end of this toy which is supposed to be for heavy chewers. I had to take it away lest he consume the ingredients it is

Within one minute my dog had chewed off the end of this toy which is supposed to be for heavy chewers. I had to take it away lest he consume the ingredients it is made of (wood and nylon). It was totally unacceptable as a chew toy. I bought similar chew toys that he still chews on months, even years, later.

Our now 7 month old puppy loves all things Frisco. It's her absolute favorite go-to! She has other brand toys, Kong, Playolgy, and Nylabone. But given the choice, which she has, she chooses Frisco. Especially this specific bone and another peanut butter flavored one. She's small and does quite a number on these. We've had to replace them a few times already but it's worth it!

This toy is not safe because of wood in it

It was made out of partially wood. I’m not gonna have my dog chew on a piece of wood and swallow splinters never ever so I threw this thing in the trash. I’m surprised

My pup loves the flavor but not for heavy chewers
