Is this harness good for dachshund wide chest

Is this harness good for a dog that suddenly pulls.

This harness is not designed for pulling, though it includes a handle for control.

Does this have to be pulled over the dog's head and step in? Or does it have buckles for around the neck and legs so the dog doesn't need to move to get it on and off?

This harness is not a step in. To put it on, simply pull it over your pet's head and clip the buckles on the sides.

For a correct fit, it is necessary to measure your dog's girth and neck in inches, and compare to the size chart. To measure the neck girth, measure around your pet's neck leaving room for two fingers and to measure chest girth, measure your pet's chest around the widest part. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two. For the complete size chart, please refer to the photo below or click the “Size” tab, next to the “Instructions” tab, just under the product photos.

I liked this item originally because of the soft green color and it appeared to be very sturdy. It fit her perfectly, and she likes it a lot. I had read the padding

I liked this item originally because of the soft green color and it appeared to be very sturdy. It fit her perfectly, and she likes it a lot. I had read the padding makes a dog feel more comfort and I now think that is true, she takes longer walks, she is not choking on a halter that is too tight around her neck. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality, comfortable harness for their dog.

Comfortably padded

We bought this harness for our senior Blackmouth Cur who is a bit overweight at 54 pounds. The front straps are shortened as far as they can go but the back straps

We bought this harness for our senior Blackmouth Cur who is a bit overweight at 54 pounds. The front straps are shortened as far as they can go but the back straps have some leeway either way. I would say it's slightly larger than I expected but fits our boy comfortably without binding. I especially like that it's soft because of the padding.

Good harness, ended up being too small

I’ve been looking for a new harness for my oddly-sized little friend and this one came close but was too narrow/short along the back so the straps under his front

I’ve been looking for a new harness for my oddly-sized little friend and this one came close but was too narrow/short along the back so the straps under his front legs (doggy armpits?) was bunched up. Overall seems like a good harness, can’t give a full review because we didn’t use it. Into the shelter donations it will go.

Padded chest is nice.

My dog is 18 lbs, not large, but needed to buy this size to get his head through the opening. Could leave one side buckled & have him step into that side first but

This was actually a small blue harness

The harness did not work for Bolt The front D ring was missing, as stated in instructions ther should be a front and back D ring, I don’t see one in the photos,

It does feel soft, but it doesn’t work for him, hard to figure out how to get on. I love Chewy btw
