Training Tips:
- Set up the pet steps next to a particularly comfy piece of furniture. Your bed or a couch are great options. The goal is to choose a piece of furniture that your pet would be happy to get onto.
- Place some treats on every step of the dog steps and let your dog notice the treats. NOTE: You won’t have to put treats on the pet steps every time the pet uses them.
- Each time your pet goes up a step, praise him and feed him extra treats.
- When your pet reaches the top of the steps, spend some time relaxing with him on that furniture.
- To teach your pet to go down the steps, repeat steps 3-5 in reverse.
If small nicks or scratches occur, the finish can be restored using a pet-friendly, furniture polish. Spot clean with a damp cloth as needed.

Great ramp
By Goliath on Mar 3, 2021
Ramp helps my elderly dog get on the bed. Previously we had steps & a check & a big jump after that. Recently he's been falling down when trying to use them to get off the bed. We needed this big ramp because the bed is so high. It looks good for dog furniture, it is challenging to put together as noted in other reviews. You need to partially put in a lot of screws then go back and tighten. If you tighten one side too much that is when it is difficult to live up the other holes. Very doable especially if you've put any lower priced furniture together before this one. One person can put it together alone but depending on your strength, it can be difficult to turn over and carry into place. Ramp helps my elderly dog get on the bed. I'm glad I got this- it is very steep as others mentioned but my dog was used to stairs so it was no big deal for him. If your dog is new to ramps and stairs make it a game with treats to make it fun and get them comfortable climbing. Perhaps the sliding is also from dogs that need practice and treat-encouragement walking on a new device. Style-wise I don't like the grey carpet on the cherry-brown wood. A dark brown carpet would look better with that color wood. Glad I bought it as it helps my elderly dog a lot. … more

Help to Assemble
By Toni324 on Feb 27, 2021
Assembly is rather convoluted, but after a few hours (yes... hours) I finally had it together. I would recommend having another person help you rather than doing it alone. Plus, watch the assembly video several times (better than the written instructions). My dogs seem "ok" with it, but I have to coax them up and down. Plus, it's a little wobbly because one of the screws keeps coming loose. Luckily it won't come out completely because it's blocked by another piece of wood, but it annoys me because I can hear it rattle as my pups go up/down.

so-so - it's slippery!
By Bailey on Feb 22, 2021
I have an 18 pound older dog and a tall bed. The size is great and the angle isn't too steep for what we needed, but as many previous reviews said the carpet is quite slippery. We are going to change out the carpet with a staple gun and add railings. After reading all the reviews I bought it mostly for the frame so we didn't have to build it ourselves. Home made ones are super expensive on etsy! The ramp is quite heavy, so you're not going to be moving it around much. The website says free shipping and free returns, so I figured worst case, we'd return it. Definitely use a drill to do all the screws and not the ridiculous allen wrench.

Nice Ramp - don't like the matieral glued to the ramp.
By Sherry on Feb 23, 2021
The ramp is nice and sturdy. Wasn't too difficult to put together. The only thing I don't like is the material. I have a 13 year old Pitt/Bassett mix and he can't climb it because there are no horizontal ridges for him to cling to so he ends up sliding down the ramp. I'm going to take a bath sheet with a raised design and staple it over the existing material so hopefully this will work for him. This ramp really needs a different matieral on it. I'd return it but I taking it apart is not ideal.

Great buy!
By PomMom on Jan 31, 2021
I have 2 large pomeranians 15-18 lbs. I ordered this because one has arthritis in his hips and he was having difficulty with the pet stairs. It took 2 of us about 1 1/2 hours to put it together and we really had to struggle to get the holes lined up at the very end but otherwise pretty easy to put together and it's really sturdy. At first the dogs slid a little on the carpet because they were too eager I think, but after a couple days they mastered it and they have no problems. I would recommend that you keep the blankets tucked in completely on that side of the bed so they don't get their feet caught up in them and lose their balance. It looks really nice and I'm happy with it.

Back saving non scary ramp
By KBDELP on Feb 17, 2021
If I didn’t have such a tall bed I would not have needed such a tall ramp. But, this ramp is great. It’s not so steep that my pup is afraid of it. The carpet really helps with slipping. You just need to dedicate the space for it. It’s nice looking and sturdy. Terrible instructions and mis-sized wood pieces and bolts plague the assembly process, but it’s stable enough.

Very Worthwhile
By Arly on Jan 20, 2021
Love this ramp! My little Chorkies are young and can easily jump up high enough to get on the bed, but I got to thinking.....as they age, they might not be able to and I realized that having this ramp would also be good NOW; as they could STILL get injured getting up or down from the bed. I got it assembled and put it next to the bed. I thought I might have trouble getting them to use it, but It wasn't 5 minutes and they were using it like it had always been there. Very very, sturdy and a super Great investment !!!!!!! If I could, I'd give it 10 Stars.

Senior Dachshunds Suspicious
By Sandi on Jan 15, 2021
Our 2 senior doxies, Mia 16 and Oskar 12, are getting used to it! Mia at first thought she had to stand perpendicular to the ramp and side-step down it. She's now got it, but feels she deserves a treat every time she uses the ramp. Oskar is a bit more stubborn. Will not use the ramp unless I place him at the bottom or top. He will leap up to the middle of the ramp and then up to the bed. Coming off the bed he opts for just leaping over the whole apparatus. He'll get it eventually. I wish I had bought this when they were younger. My only criticism is that the carpet is slippery to them. We will glue a thicker piece of carpeting on to it.

Great for seniors!
By Lizann on Jan 15, 2021
I had been looking for a ramp that was high enough to reach our bed as our senior cat, Woofy, well... doesn't "cat" so great anymore at 19 yrs and he needed a little more help getting up than his stairs were providing. This ramp has been so incredibly helpful. We were missing one of the washers that was needed to assemble but thankfully had our own so we were able to add it to the others, and it probably would've been fine without it. Once it was put together Woofy took right to it and doesn't seem to miss his stairs. The carpet is nice and withstands his nails for his frisky moments.
