They are okay as far as clippers go, they cut but not like they’re brand new. The locking piece also clamps your hand if you do not steer clear of that space when clipping. I have the same mark on the other hand. I will be looking for a different nail trimmer so that I do not continue to injure myself.
I'm disappointed in this trimmer. It is sharp enough, but with each cut, the lock flops back into lock position, so you have to stop and reset it, which, when doing nails, makes the dog have to wait longer and thus gets too nervous.
I was hoping this would be sharper than my previous clipper. My previous clipper is the same style, but I felt it was getting dull, so I got this one. The nail guard does not stay put and requires frequent tightening and it is not as sharp as expected. I plan on going back to my old clippers.
This are cheap and dull they fray and break my large dogs nails vs cutting
Horrible!!!! Bought these for German Shepherd and they crushed her nails instead of cutting smoothly. I had to use my small dig cutters to cut them without hurting her.
My dog usually tries to pull her paw away during her trim but she didn’t even acknowledge the fact that I was doing her nails. These were fast and precise. Love them!!!
My favorite thing about these trimmers is they open all the way so it is easier to get the job done than the other pair I have, which do not open entirely and slide over the end of the nail.
I bought two pairs of these on sale to try but I do not like them. They’re good for cat nails but not for dog nails.
These are terrible. The cut is not smooth. They are noisy and you have to press super hard. Much prefer the ones I bought previously. I just wanted these because the grips were a little bigger and easier to home.
I order this nail clipper to replace my 20+yr old one due to the back guard not tightening down anymore. When I received the new nail clipper the back guard was loose with no way to tighten + it did not spring open correctly. Called Chewy, they immediately replaced it, but when those came in, had the same issue with the back guard. As this is an inexpensive item, will not bother trying to get a refund or replacement; will just keep my old pair for now. As always, Chewy was great with handling the issue/replacement; they are my #1 go-to-place for my animals.
