If you don’t have a fenced-in yard, a tie-out cable and stake system provides dogs with secure access to the yard so they can take care of potty business. It creates a safe zone that allows dogs the freedom to go outside while preventing them from escaping the yard if they get distracted. That way, you can make sure your pup makes good use of his outdoor time—like answering the call of nature—instead of getting into doggy shenanigans. It’s easy to use—just clip one of the metal swivel clips to the D-ring on the stake, and the other one to the D-ring on your dog’s collar. After your dog “goes”, simply unclip and they’re ready to come back inside. These tie-out cables are available in a variety of lengths and widths so you can find the one that’s just right for your pup.

We have a 5 month old puppy that like every puppy is totally food driven. During meal time there was not a lot of peace. Now that we can put her outside we have peace during meal time-Great product!
The stake and cable are fine. This set does not come with a spring so when my dog goes flying after something and gets to the end of the line at full speed there is no give and he gets whiplashed. I have another that came with a spring that at least gives a little cushion when he gets to the end. If you’re looking for a tie out, look for a spring.
I have a 10 pound poodle & This is a very sturdy for him. The cord is thick and durable and veryyyy long! however the metal part is already rusting and I just received this product on Friday. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re going to leave the cord outside overnight because the morning dew will make the metal portion rust quickly!
This past week, my dog, Birdie, escaped our fenced backyard and went roaming up the street. She's never outside now without me but she's fast, so I wanted something that would allow me to garden, chat with friends, etc. without having to keep a constant eye on her. This works.
This is the 3rd one I’ve bought. The first one he ripped out of the ground and ran off leaving it in the woods somewhere. The second one I got to replace it last about 20 minutes before he snapped the metal piece holding the lead to the anchor. It doesn’t thread deep enough into the ground for a nearly 100 lb dog. And there’s no spring to absorb shock from a quick jerk. Unfortunately there’s no better option I can find
Woof. Even though I'm only 75 pounds of cuddly golden retriever/poodle mix, I'm strong! This easy to install stake and tether kept me on my lawn even when my Labrador boyfriend stopped to say hi. Woof.
Works as expected. Good quality. One thought would be to make the rubber parts a different color than green. It’s hard see if you’re walking through the yard or cutting the grass.
Tie out cable is a little too heavy for small to medium pups/kittens, so I purchased a separate nylon cable, which was a perfect match...
I was able to put this in the yard and now he has free rain to run well in the yard and he gets all his food and toys and they are awesome!! They also have the Kong stuffed animals that they can’t rip apart!
I have adopted a dog that likes to run him running away from his first home is how we found him so although he gets nice long walks, we live in an apartment and I like the idea of this. It allows him to get a good run.
