Good leash, inaccurate color description
It's a good leash. Sturdy clasp, reflective, padded handles(top and bottom), good length and width. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 starts is that the leash is pictured a bright/vivid orange called "sunset orange", but it's just red. I wanted orange so it's disappointing. See photo.
Dourble-duty leash
I ordered the leash because of my unruly 2-year-old pup as it has long and a short handles; however, while the short handle is about right, the length of the longer handle is a bit too long. The inside of the leash handles is cushiony to save hands from callouses while holding a strong and free-wheeling dog!
Nice design, but too lighweight
I bought two of these for my 40 pound, 1 year old pups. I love the extra handle and the design of the clip, as it doesn’t get hooked on the d-ring when the dogs twist it around. However, one of my dogs chewed both of the leashes in half in a matter of seconds. The material is too thin and flimsy for a leash.
Good Leash
I love this leash and have the matching harness. This leash has a metal clip that has held up well for us. It is reflective which I love because with our English Bulldogs we frequently walk early in the morning or late at night so they don't overheat. The handle is lightly padded and it is nice, not overdone so I can still grip it properly. Stitching is solid and has held up well. It also has a little metal ring on the handle to clip poop bag holder or keys etc. My absolute favorite part about this harness is the traffic handle is far enough up that I dont have to bend down to reach for it and hold it, I can stand upright and comfortably while keeping my dog closer when necessary. The one I purchased is the 6ft, 1inch size. Very satisfied with this purchase, the only thing I wish it had was a bungee/stretchable section and if they ever come out with one I will have to replace all my leashes with them.
It's just ok
I was so disappointed when I got my new dog leash today. It's not anything I would have bought in person if I could touch and hold it first. It's a very basic, seems cheaply made leash. Padding is barely there. Sadly, I got 2 of these. I have huge dogs. So using this leash I would be worried they would break this
Wrong color
It's a great leash, it is exactly as pictured. The only problem is the sunset orange is a firetruck red and it doesn't match what I have.
Clip broke after 3 weeks
I absolutely loved this leash until the clip broke off. My puppy was laying down at my feet and when he got up he was no longer attached to me. He pulls on walks so I imagine that stressed the clip over time but it lasted less than 3 weeks and I didn't even use it every day.
Two weeks to failure
The swiveling snap hook shaft is retained in the d ring by a snap ring in a groove machined in the shaft. The snap ring either broke or simply ejected from the groove in which it was seated allowing the snap hook to pull out of the D ring. Luckily the approaching dog was passive and Clyde stayed calm even though accidentally unleashed as we were passing. Aesthetically this leash is excellent, could be better IMHO if the reflective stitching showed on both sides
Love the color
I love the color and how reflective it is. I don't like the second handle on it, it sticks out to much, I'm a little concerned the it would get caught on something. The clasp is heavy duty but I don't like the style. It's actually harder to clip on a little 3 pound pup.
Nice while it lasted
I really liked this leash. It has a nice handle with an extra grip that is also comfortable if you want your dog closer. Only problem is my dog chewed through it. I guess I'll have to get something a bit more substantial.
