I just love the look of this canister. It's bigger than I imagined and holds quite a bit of food. The seal on the lid doesn't seem like it will last forever, but I put my dog's food in a 2 gallon ziploc bag and keep it inside the canister, so the food stays fresh anyway. This purchase was more about aesthetics for me. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

This is the 3rd one of these I’ve ordered and every single one comes with something wrong with it. Broken or cracked wood lid. Scratches on the metal, or the metal is bent and misshaped so badly that the lid doesn’t line up and properly seal with the rubber gasket. Have to bend it back so the lid can kind of go on. They’re not cheap containers either so it’s kind of ridiculous TBH.

This food storage container is a workable solution for us. Pros: It looks nice out on the countertop and holds a lot. Cons: The lid is not tight fitting so we don't put any open bags of food inside, which is what we originally anticipated doing. Instead we seal our dogs kibble with a chip clip before placing inside and also store his dental water additive and food toppers inside.

So disappointing- DO NOT BUY

The lid seems to be improperly cut making it ill-fitting and a good closure impossible. Instead of a straight line there’s a I bought this to replace a plastic one

The lid seems to be improperly cut making it ill-fitting and a good closure impossible. Instead of a straight line there’s a I bought this to replace a plastic one I had that had cracked and I was afraid it would effect the quality of my dogs food and let in ants. Within a day of switching to the new container the whole thing was full of ants- thats what tipped me off that the seal wasn’t good. I imagine continued use will lead to the dog food going stale, really disappointing for something over $50, ill be returning it- I’m better off using the old damaged one than this

Whatever the issue was with the lid in previous reviews, they seem to have fixed it because ours closes and seals just fine. Jury's still out on whether the kibbles will go stale in our humid climate, but that's also why we got the smaller one. Very cute, and seems to be quite sturdy!

It’s okay

This food storage canister is more for looks than keeping dog food fresh. The lid doesn’t suction close, it just sits on top. The handle on the lid was also crooked

This food storage canister is more for looks than keeping dog food fresh. The lid doesn’t suction close, it just sits on top. The handle on the lid was also crooked so it’s cheaply made. I did like the size, but I put the bag of food inside since the lid won’t keep the air out to just pour the kibble in.
