Provides option for odd sized bowls

This insert is made so you can trim the fins to fit various sized pet bowls, it provides good flexibility for use. It would be helpful to offer a similar version

This insert is made so you can trim the fins to fit various sized pet bowls, it provides good flexibility for use. It would be helpful to offer a similar version with fins of shorter height for use with pets who don't need the deep fins. (I manually cut down the height as well as the width of the fins but it does look a bit tacky!)

works but doesn't play well with stainless steel bowls

this works really well to slow down speedy eaters. we have a lab, Great Dane, and a bullmastiff who are all very enthusiastic diners. the only problem is this product

this works really well to slow down speedy eaters. we have a lab, Great Dane, and a bullmastiff who are all very enthusiastic diners. the only problem is this product caused all if our bowls to rust. I feel using with ceramic would be ok. Our pups are super slobbery so we even washed everything daily and dried between each use, but I couldn't keep the bowls from rusting where the suction cups are. I even purchased new SS bowls thinking that maybe ours were old and/or had been mislabelled, but the new ones rusted also. Honestly after trying mats, inserts, slow bowls, puzzles, etc, the best thing Ive found so far to slow down our monsters with easy clean up is a combo of stainless baking trays with a lip and stainless muffin pans

best for what we need

We needed slow-eat devices to work as inserts inside our bowls that fit inside raised feeders, which I found out are not easy to find! Despite great suction cup

We needed slow-eat devices to work as inserts inside our bowls that fit inside raised feeders, which I found out are not easy to find! Despite great suction cup grips, our pittie mixes eventually find ways to grab the inserts and fling them around until they come out! Oh well...still, they work best compared to anything else. The only other options would be to buy slow-eat bowls and get rid of our raised feeders, which we are not going to do.

It really works

My dog would hoover his food and then head to the other one's bowl and eat her. This insert slowed him down a lot. My girl is a normal/slow eater. Now they finish

Would not stick

This did not stick to any bowls I put it on (ceramic or stainless steel). My cat couldn't eat because it just kept getting pulled up.

The Design

It is not a sturdy design. I had to cut to fit the bowl I purchased from chewy as well, which I thought would be plenty big enough I would not have to cut these

The bowls were smaller than I thought they would be. I really like the orange Leash Boss Spiral Non-skid Slow Feeder Dog Bowl. It fits perfect in my stand no problem.

Dangerous

Since the slow feeder is just an insert into your dog bowl your dog can just grab it out of their bowl and chew it to pieces. I now know at least three people that

Since the slow feeder is just an insert into your dog bowl your dog can just grab it out of their bowl and chew it to pieces. I now know at least three people that have bought the slow feeder insert and had to take their dogs to the emergency vet because their dogs chewed up.
