Size small needed!
I liked this carrier over the other KH carrier design wise with the bigger mesh windows and the bottom seat anchor. However, Chewy doesn’t do a great job overall catering to our smaller friends. I wish this carrier came in a small size. I’ll be returning becashe it’s just too big for my small Pomeranian who needs a more compact space in case of an accident. Other thing to note is that the picture shows the medium taking up a little over one car seat which was not the case in my Rav. I should have measured it, but it took up a little less than two seats. So if two adults were in the back with the carrier, it would not work at all.

I love this carrier. I just purchased it before a lengthy trip for vacation, and it was a great buy. My dog adjusted to it easily and is now more secured and seems more comfortable while riding in the car. It is large enough for her to be comfortable but not too big that she is lost in it. I wish I would have purchased it sooner.

This carrier was so perfect to haul my two cats on a 4 hour car drive to our new home. I felt bad putting them in those smaller cloth cat carries that kind of collapse onto them because they can’t hold their shape. I also thought the cats might like to be together for the car ride for support or something. This carrier is so sturdy and so talk. It’s perfect for smallish dogs and cats. It comes with a clip to clip the carrier around the car seat’s neck rest so it sits high up so your pets are level on the seat which seems like it’d be more comfy to me because they wouldn’t slouch down the carrier due to the slope in the car seat. Love!
Large - Grey Mesh Safety Car Crate
I bought 2 of these safety crates for my 2 pet pals because I don't want them sliding off their car beds onto the floor when someone cuts me off & I have to slam on my breaks. My 16-18 lb shih tzu fits perfectly. He is also 22" long fm nose to hind. My little girl Tibetian Spaniel passed so my 12 lb cat has inherited this spacious crate. This size allows him to stretch out straight without being rolled up. He has plenty of room to roam & spin 360 degrees. It has plenty of headroom for standing but if you want booster view, you'll have to add a very fluffy pillow as it is flat. We placed their travel dog beds & their blankets inside. The lg does not fit in the front seat of my VW Tiguan but it fits perfectly in the rear 3-seat back seat. I lay the back seats down in my suv & there is plenty of room but the security harnesses are not in place. I was going to return the large for a small, undecided. One lg takes up 2 spaces. One con is the front mesh tends to fold in a bit but not significantly...see image. The zipper is not the best quality. It tends to split & you have to re-zip to close. They should have used sturdy metal zippers instead of plastic teeth. One serious pro is the open airy quality of the crate. This allows my pets to stay cool with ac flow & warm in winter with heat flow. Open on both sides, full front, & top. Lastly, it says hold up to 50 lb but I would not place a 30+ lb pet in this size as it would be way too snug & cramp for 20 mile travel time.
Easygoing
We bought for our Lady Cuddles very easy to set up and fold back down. Feel it needs more safety when securing as it slides around on the seat too much. We ended up adding a wide cloth clip belt and thru the along with the seat belt for more security, that worked well. cuddles loved it and a happy traveler. She fits fine but wished I had gotten the large fo a little more room.
Large was great for our 25-pound ChiPoo
We put our dog in this to drive from Austin, TX, to Vancouver, Washington. The drive took 3 days, and the car was packed. It took up most of the Camry’s backseat. It attached securely to the seat and kept him shaded. He could stretch out or sit up, and I could reach back through the flap to pet him. It isn’t very padded, so we put a soft towel on the bottom (also in case he got sick). It was easy for him to get in and out, and the wire frame kept it from being crushed. I doubt it would be too protective in a serious accident, but it did keep him from getting hurt when we had to stop quickly.
7 states with cat
Moving across the country with my cat was scary. This carrier was the best, enough room for her to lay down and nap, and have her food and water in there as well. The padding on the bottom is comfortable. Got us through 7 states in 3 days, highly recommend
Amazing!!
We absolutely LOVE this. We traveled 9 hours with our puppy to go home and it was great. This is a safe carrier with really good quality materials. My only complaint is that there is a tag on the bedding part that sticks out, so if you have a puppy that chews then definitely cut that tag off! Otherwise, it works wonderfully for the car.

The zipper on the left side does not go all the way down - I couldn't return it immediately cause my daughter was in the hospital but if my situation was different I would have. I like the way it fits in the car. But I'm afraid that Harry and Ozzie will figure out they can get out! What can I do. I used it to get her home from the hospital.

I have a Cavalier King Charles. I also drive a Jeep Wrangler. I wanted something that I would feel safe with her in while driving topless. My friend found this on chewy and sent me the link! I ordered the medium and it even has room to put a dog bed in too for extra comfort. You buckle be seat in and good to go!!! I like that my girl can see out of all sides! It’s very sturdy. Would absolutely recommend!!
