Unfortunately this was a strong no for both of my cats. They typically LOVE string toys, but they wouldn't play with this one. Not sure why unless it was because of the large heart on the end. The other string toys I have either don't have anything on the end or have a worm on the end that sort of jumps around when I move it. However, the heart on this toy is sort of bulky and clumsy. It just sort of hangs there on the string in an unenticing kind of way. The other issue I had with this toy was that the stick and string are very short. I typically play with the cats while standing up, but I had to bend over a bit to do that with this toy. It's better if you're either playing with them while sitting or if you're really short I imagine. (I'm very tall) As far as the catnip, I'm not really sure what it has to do with the string toy. My cats like to roll around in catnip, not bat at it on a string. Plus the catnip wouldn't stick to the heart. Other than that, catnip is catnip, so what's not to love about that?

Overall pleased with it, my only complaint is that I wish the string was a little longer since I'm tall and I have to bend over a bit when my guy throws himself on the floor

This is so cute!! Both cats LOVE it and were waiting while I opened it. The extra hearts grab their attention. One word of caution…..if you have a cat that likes to swallow strange things as we have, she immediately started swallowing the little curly streamers. So I’ll have to cut them off as I do with feathers on toys. Or, just don’t leave it out unattended. I do recommend this product, as they absolutely love it.

I was surprised how much my cats love this toy. Whatever the scent is on it is working because one of my cats keeps pulling it out of their toy box and carrying it around the house. I like that the string is stretchy so when my cat catches it it's not a hard jerk. The pole is the perfect length.
