I have a 12-year-old Maltese/Bichon who is having senior moments. We have been keeping him in diapers for that last 9 months and for 8 months of it we have been using these diapers. I am pleased with the quality of these diapers. They look and function as well today as they did 8 months ago. I have read where people have commented that they can't get the urine smell out. I was able to detect an odor in the beginning after washing them. But I have found the perfect solution to that. My washer has a rinse/spin-only cycle. I put the diapers (turned inside out) in on that cycle first with a cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of baking soda. When that cycle is over I do a normal wash cycle with arm and hammer detergent, 1 cup of white vinegar, and 1/4 cup of baking soda. I fill the fabric softener slot with white vinegar and I even wash on the cold setting. Whenever possible I hang on the clothesline inside out to dry. May seem like a lot of hassle, but I do wash 24 at a time and have no odor when done.
