Broken Handle
I bought this on 3/9 and just today 5/13 the handle part that is used to open the gate completely broke apart and parts went everywhere. If it wasn't for that I would say it's a great gate
Sturdy and stylish
I was worried that this wasn’t gonna work for my dog. He kept jumping over everything, but this is the perfect height and it has a sense of style.
Very sturdy gate
My huge puppy jumps over all other gates so I bought this 41" tall. I love how the gate swings either way and shuts and locks. He has tried but cannot jump over this one.
Looks nice
I purchased this extra tall gate and it's better in person. It's really nice. I like the height of it. The quality of this gate is excellent. And it is affordable.
Love this!
This gate is beautiful & very sturdy. We have a Doberman & a Lab mix who will occasionally stand against this gate or try to rush through it (at the same time!) when opened yet this gate holds firm & hasn't bent or shifted on the wall. Our previous (a different brand) pressure gate didn't last 8 months with these rambunctious fools before a weld broke & it was constantly being knocked loose from the walls no matter how tight we adjusted it. We've had this Frisco gate for a little over 6 weeks now and the dogs haven't been able to knock it loose a single time. This gate is exactly what we needed & it looks so much nicer than most dog/baby gates on the market.
Broken latch
I bought two of these gates to prevent our puppy from getting into certain area of the house while we are not a home. The gates appeared to be well constructed and worked satisfactorily for several weeks. We started experiencing trouble with the latch on one of the gates. The small plastic pieces that holds the latch in place started to pop out. It was not a big deal at first because they could be popped back in and the gate continued to function. However, recently, the plastic pin that hold the latch in place broke off and now there no way to connect the latch back onto the gate. I have not been able to find replacement parts on chewy and Frisco website.
High quality
I bought this a few months ago when my girlfriend moved in with her cat. I have 2 dogs unaccustomed to cats so we decided to subdivide the house cat side and dog side. One dog is a male young black lab that is enthusiastic in everything he does. He reacted well to the gate so it became a non issue. The gate is used several times a day as we are both retired, and it has remained solid and durable, functions like new. The extra height serves as a deterrent, the latch remains solid. The only feature I would change is it would be nice to have a small kitty passage so we could have subdivided the house a bit differently. The interaction between species has went better than we hoped so it would be nice to give the cat's potty room free access for the cat but keep the dogs out of that room entirely.
Great Gate
tis gate is not only beautiful, it is sturdy! It can stay in an open position or it will swing shut and lock. This is a very convenient feature! I would like to order another gate but need an additional extension...are the extensions sold separately?
Great gate
Over all this is the best gate I've had. No chewable parts, safer, extra tall, easy to open one handed and self closing not to mention more esthetically pleasing than most baby gates. I also felt it was reasonably priced for what it is.

I am absolutely ecstatic with my purchase. Thank you so much Chewy. I previously had two 30 inch gates purchased from elsewhere to separate the two dogs so Milo would not jump over. One dog is mines who is very mean. The other dog is a puppy visitor. I would have to crawl through the bottom gate door to get to the other part of my house. Now with the 41 inch gate I simply can walk through. It is the perfect height, easy to install, very sturdy, great price and the quality is excellent. Not to mention I received my order in 3 days. I will definitely purchase more product from you.
