Full Moon believes dogs deserve food that’s every bit as good as what we humans feed ourselves, so they try to choose the best every step of the way. Every Full Moon treat starts with USDA-approved, farm-raised meats carefully cooked in small batches, for a quality and taste that’s evident in every bite. You’ll notice the difference the second you open the bag.
Naturally Healthy and Tasty
Regionally sourced, cage-free US poultry, Heritage US pork and ranch-raised cattle fed an all-natural diet form the foundation for all Full Moon’s meaty treats. Full Moon uses only meat from healthy, farm-raised animals and never adds any artificial colors or preservatives to their treats. Reward your pup the way nature intended, with treats full of the natural protein he needs to feel his best.
Made In The USA
Full Moon makes all their treats in fully GFSI-compliant, BRC or SQF Food Safety Standards-audited kitchens. Unlike other companies, who use high heat thermal extrusion to make their foods and treats, they slow cook their recipes under low heat to retain more of the raw ingredients’ natural nutrients and flavor. It’s a wholesome difference your pet will taste and one you’ll appreciate, too.
Raised with Care
Raising animals the right way not only guarantees a better product, it’s simply the right thing to do. Full Moon works with its family farmers across the US to ensure that only the highest ethical standards are employed in raising the poultry, pork and cattle that goes into their treats.
Quality Ingredients
Full Moon takes pride in the quality of their ingredients, and no ingredient is more important than the protein they pack into every human-grade treat. They use USDA-inspected meats sourced from Perdue Farms—the same high-quality, antibiotic-free Perdue meats you see at your local store. For over 100 years, Perdue has worked with its farmers to raise animals right and thoughtfully tend the land.
About Full Moon Pet Treats
Full Moon is a fourth generation, family-owned company that’s been making naturally delicious pet treats since 2011. The idea for Full Moon Treats was born when founder Ryan Perdue grew frustrated with all the low quality dog treats made with low-grade meat from places like China and cheap fillers like corn. Today, they make a range of great-tasting, nutritious treats made from simple, honest recipes and 100% natural ingredients. Each recipe uses USDA-approved, human-grade meat and is cooked right here in the USA in Full Moon’s very own kitchens.
I know you said the pigs are cage-free. Do you mean by that they are pasture raised or simply raised in a large industrial building but not kept in cages? Is it possible to see pictures of the actual conditions? Thank you
Are these soft or crunchy?
Answer by • Sep 09, 2018
This jerky is slow-cooked for a soft texture that is easily chewable and digestible at all stages of life.
I see a photo of pasture raised pigs. Is that the case because that is not clear on your packaging. To be clear, do they have access to sunlight and space to roam, or just crate free?

These treats are cage-free pork farm-raised in the USA.
Started off originally buying their chicken jerky. Had been purchasing Tylee's Pork Jerky, but the last two batches had a lot of tiny pieces in the bottoms of the bag, so thought I'd give these a shot. My first bag had almost all nice big sized pieces (a few small broken pieces in the bottom). I know another reviewer said these were hard? That was not my experience at all (maybe she got older bags ready to expire or something) but the ones I received were somewhere between hard and flexible. Enough bite for the dog to chew but not so hard I could not bend or cut with a chef's knife. Dog loves these as much as the chicken ones. Will try the beef ones next since these were such a hit.

choking hazard
Be sure to tear these treats into tiny pieces and supervise carefully while giving them to your pets. I have 2 boxers and although I’ve always torn the pieces, there have been now 2 occasions I’ve had to scoop a piece out of the back of their throats. The piece suctioned to their soft palate/oropharyngeal area and they are unable to swallow it on their own. Scary! So although these are a good quality treat, they are dangerous enough where I’m not comfortable purchasing anymore.

Perfect Except too Hard
I was looking for a less expensive alternative to Gibson's jerky treats, which are human grade, paper thin, and my elderly dog's favorite treats. Unfortunately, they are also over $16 for a 3 ounce bag. I thought these would be the answer, especially when I opened the bag and the smell of delicious bacon made my mouth water. They have the look of good pork lined with a bit of fat. Other reviewers said they are easy to tear. I don't know if the 2 bags I bought are an aberration, but I can't even cut them with a heavy knife. They are not even chewy: They're hard and sharp. My little guy has 6 teeth; in order for him to eat these, I have to grind them in the food processor. Even then, there are small, sharp bits that require care.

Meat, Sugar and Salt!
I don't understand why companies add sugar and salt. When I make my own meat snacks I don't and the dogs love them. Both my dogs have tendencies for yeast so sugar is a no no. Wish they made a plain option. The price and quality are good.

Pup Approved
My small/medium water spaniel loves these as a full chew for his mid-afternoon or post dog school snack, or smaller pieces as a treat. I love them because of the limited ingredients, stayed fresh, easy to handle and store and killer good price. This was my first Full Moon product and me and puppy Ashby were both happy.

Quality Product
Once again, decided to try another flavor of the same type item. always bought the Chicken version of this Jerky but decided to try the Pork. Well, well - aside from the "Human Grade" in the title, upon opening I told Max I was tempted to indulge myself. This Pork Jerky smells so good & he concurred, anxiously waits for this treat & I don't blame him! Going forward, we will be ordering the Pork. The Chicken was great too but this is even more luscious (per Max). Full Moon products have limited ingredients-all natural & only a few necessary ingredients to process the pork. Excellant Quality.

Don't pass these by
I have 2 dogs...15 and 18 years old. The 15 yo has all her teeth and love these. The 18 YO needs them into smaller pieces which is VERY easy to do with this pork jerky. At 18 he doesn't get too excited about much...but THESE...I get the biggest tail wags and butt wiggles in anticipation. Warms my heart especially to see my little old man happy

Dog loves it
I've been buying this pork jerky snack for my terrier for quite sometime. He absolutely loves it and sometimes I think he has cravings for it when I decide to not buy it or just don't give it to him. It used to be great. The jerky pieces were thick and I'd almost always have to break it into strips before giving this to him. Lately, the strips are so thin, it's almost paper thin. For the price and the amount in the bag, I'm hesitant to buy this again. I know my little guy loves it but it's pricey for what it is worth.
