Over a year later
Currently have had this dog bed for over a year and it is still like brand new. We have a lab/pit mix that is about 95lbs, he likes to sleep on his side and legs stretched out so we went with the Jumbo size bed. I went off the dog size chart instead of the actual measurements so the bed is way bigger than i expected but its fine. Our dog loves it, he sleeps on it everyday and there are no dips or flattening of the bedding. We have also washed the cover multiple times and it is still like new. We have no issues taking the cover off or putting it back on after it is washed and dried. The best dog bed We ever bough.
Great Bed, with 1 Exception
Love the bed size (we got XL), and love the firm sides that they can use to prop up their heads. Overall, could be an outstanding product! However, the fabric across the bottom is so very thin, that it gets ripped very easily. This happened with the first one I bought, so threw it out and bought a second one. And, the same thing happened! And once it rips, the dogs love to dig at the foam. This is way too expensive a bed to have it die within 4-6 months. I gave it a 3 as I truly love everything else about the bed. But, having both have the same issue makes it less than good.
Love - great for house and car
The jumbo plus fits perfectly/snugly in a standard sized SUV or car - opening facing the back with bolsters on sides keeping dogs from falling into the door wells, works for 2 large dogs this way. In the house, they're great too. I have a set in 3 different rooms. Surprisingly easy to remove and wash covers. I rate it 4 of 5 because fabric on bed portion does not hold up to scratches.
nice bed, color is a little different
This is a very nice dog bed. The color is a bit different than what is pictured. I ordered gray, but the bed is more of a bluish-gray in person. Blue with gray undertones. The cover has two zippers, one at the bottom to take out the flat foam insert, and a second at the back where the bolsters attach to the bed, allowing you to take out the bolster insert so you can wash the cover. The bolster zipper has nice "pocket" it fits into when closed so the dog doesn't see zipper pull hanging out to entice them to chew on it. The bolsters themselves are enclosed in their own separate lining that is made of material sort of like interfacing. The bed's sleeping area was actually approx 1 inch smaller in width and depth than the chart shows. It's not a big deal, as I like the bed enough to keep it for my smaller dog. I like that the orthopedic foam is solid 3 inches and not that "egg crate" style. The dogs seem to like the bed. Bed arrived in good shape and the bolsters were fine. Mine was not vacuum packed like some other reviewers said their bed was, but I did not get one of the larger sizes, so that may be why. I didn't have to fluff the bolsters or anything. It came out of the package ready to use. Good bed, seems supportive.
My OLD girl loves her NEW bed!
I watched my old girl struggle with her old bed...she didnt really like it anymore and would lay on the cold hard floor. Well, not anymore! She took to this bed immediately and LOVES it. It's soft but supportive, slightly fuzzy but not too warm, the bolster is firm and she lays her head on it. My *only* criticism is that the bottom is slippery on the hardwood so I had to put a non-skid surface under it. That's a small thing compared to the use my old girl gives her new bed. I have not laundered it yet so I dont know how well it will hold up in the washer.
Fluff everywhere:(
My dog has a habit of pawing (very gently)at her bed every time before she sleeps on it. This bed looks good but it has been shedding sooooo much fluff. It stresses me out. It looks like grey dog hair. I gave it 3 months thinking the shedding will stop eventually after an initial shedding phase, but no! It still sheds the same crazy amount of fluff and I'm going around the house picking it up. Too bad I waited until the return window closed :(
My senior girl LOVES this bed!
Got this bed almost two weeks ago. As soon ask I put it on the floor, my soon-to-be 13 year old lab mix sniffed it and immediately laid on it. She absolutely LOVES this bed! I can tell it's really comfortable on her old joints. She weighs 59 LBS, so I ordered the Large. It's perfect, because it "hugs" her while she sleeps.
Zippers are weak!
Purchased two for a 5 month old puppy. He gets into stages where he pulls them around. The zippers bust open within 5 minutes every time. If there was an option to completely unzip the bolster, that would be great. Once the zipper is open, that piece comes out and it’s too easy for him to eat the stuffing.
Dog Likes ... I Dont
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE COLOR OF THIS BED! I BOUGHT IT TO MATCH MY LIVING ROOM IN "DEEP POOL". WHICH IN PICTURES LOOKS TEAL. IT'S NOT AT ALL!! IT'S A GUNMETAL BLUE. This bed is good and bad. I like that you can remove the foam and bolsters to wash. I like the streamlined design. And the foam is nice and firm but comfortable and the size is huge! Perfect for my Greater Swiss Mountian Dog and her smaller siblings can find room to lay with her as well. I do not like the fabric at all. Not only the color but it is a very thin cheap fabric. I've always had beds made with more like upholstery material. This material is very thin. I hope it lasts through a wash. I laid a blanket over top to hide the ugly color and hopefully make it last longer.
Perfect choice
I bought this for my older Lab shepherd mix. She is 9 and has fractured her hips, torn meniscus, and ACL. This bed was a perfect choice for her. As you can see in the pictures, it is very thick and plush. And from time to time, my puppy steals the cozy bed.🤣 All and all, great bed!! The only difficulty was with FedEx shipping. They shipped it to the wrong part of the US. I had to wait an extra 2 weeks.
