Hi! Is this bed made of solid memory foam or is there a solid layer on the top only? If there is some on the top only, what is the bed filled in? Is there shredded or pieces memory foam in this bed? Ty

This bed is 4 inches thick. It has a layer of solid medical-grade support foam and memory foam. An orthopedic foam base features egg-crate foam that alleviates aching joints and provides soothing comfort to pressure points. The Jumbo option, for larger breeds, features solid slab orthopedic foam for greater support and comfort.
Can the bolster filling be removed when the cover needs to be washed? If it can be removed, is the filling contained in a separate covering?

The bolsters can be removed and should not be put in the washing machine. This bed features one zippered, removable cover that is machine washable.
Is this dog bed made 100% (materials and production in the USA?

This bed is designed, assembled, warehoused, and shipped in the USA using USA-sourced filling materials. The bed cover only is made in China. The foam is manufactured in the U.S.A. and has been rigorously tested to ensure it meets standards for content, emissions, and durability, and was analyzed by independent, accredited testing laboratories. For optimum pet health, FurHaven uses low VOC, CertiPUR-US® certified foam. This domestic foam is made without PDBEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals. FurHaven foam is manufactured without formaldehyde, ozone depleters, and phthalates regulated by the CPSC.

My very old Chessie loves it

Our pup is a 13 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He has hip and leg issues. We got one of these extra large and yes it is not cheap but he loves it. He can stretch out and rest his head on the raised sides. He sleeps much better on it. We liked it so much we got another one for the family room so he gets joint and hip relief in the room we spend evenings in. We all love them!

Size Is INCORRECT!

This is a nice bed . I bought 2 with memory foam. Guess what the size is NOT CORRECT. I ORDERED A JUMBO..44 X 35 X 10 according to the description BUT it is 40 X 32 X 8. I have two GSD 100LBS each plus a 44in area specifically for beds. It is lacking about 4.5in. Will be calling Chewy today.

Already falling apart

I just got this dog bed October 9th and it is already falling apart. I would not have purchased if I had known it was so cheaply made. I would not recommend!

Color is NOT accurate

color is NOT accurate. The bed is flimsy and cheaply made. It is way over priced and not Wirth it AT ALL!

love this product!

I got this for my large senior German Shepherd who has hip dysplasia and spine degeneration. I could have bought the larger size but this works well and he sleeps on it all the time. It is very firm, which is what I was looking for. Furhaven sent me a new one for FREE after me younger dog tore apart the bolsters. I would attach a picture but I don't know how. This is a great product and company!

Great value

Purchased: jumbo Dog: Bull Mastiff Now that he understands what dog beds are, he doesn't try to eat it. It's very firm. There is no egg:carton feel on top, if you're wondering. It's smooth. Ruger loves the silky, furry feel of the top and the bolsters are in just the right places for him to either hang his head over them or rest it against them He can really spread out on it. Oh, he's 110 lbs. Size, quality and appearance were all as expected. Dog beds can get expensive. I think this is a great value.

Poor quality

The foam filler on this bed is not dense enough and compresses thinly under my large dogs, definitely not up to snuff compared to most orthopedic beds. But the worst part is the thin, stretchy cover. The material is so poorly made that after a month and a half there are holes worn into it where my dogs lay. They don’t dig at their bed or chew it, but they do circle several times before laying down and chew their bones on it. The cover isn’t durable enough to stand up to even this level of wear; I haven’t tried washing it because I’m worried it will shred in the washer. In order to register the beds for the 2 month warranty you have to agree to getting their news letter, I choose not to so I don’t know how well the company stands behind their product. I’ve already thrown one away because the cover was completely worn through, I’m sure the second won’t last much longer. The only positive thing I can say about this bed was it did look nice straight out of the box.
